I heard Andersen, Hardy, McCutcheon, Okada, and Mellott all heard we are having Cat-Griz 2.0 and they are looking at ways to come back as a little homecoming and exercise their remaining Covid year/medical redshirt/super senior eligibility to get us over the line... You think that would give us an edge in this one? 🤔😂

In all seriousness, I think it would be fun to do an ALL DECADE two deep for both teams, and compare them leading up to this game in order to honor the Super Brawl! Can someone with far greater ball knowledge of the Grizzlies over the years get one of those started? I know you all are super busy, but I think this might even be a good idea for @Colter_Nuanez and @TomCat88 to put out there with Skyline Sports in order to honor the legacy of this game by looking back through the years at the best players who have played it.
I wish you would've told me this idea before I booked 25 podcast hits, 7 2-hour radio shows and gave myself 6 writing assigments....

Here’s my take… I don’t understand the switch up on the cats by all these analysts. Like it’s been mentioned before, it was just 3 weeks ago we beat them. In Missoula. Now of course, it’s super stressful having to go against a good griz team. But the amount of confidence that’s spewing at EGriz is insane. I’m not sure if it’s a defense mechanism trying to talk themselves into thinking they are better or just stupidity. (Which I wouldn’t put it past them. Especially @HookedOnGriz ) we are the better team in basically every facet. I’m not downplaying the Dakota teams they beat butttt we all know neither one of those 2 are the Dakota teams we have known in the past. Which Griz fans wont come to reality with that.

But, there are 2 thing that concern me. It’s been mentioned here and on podcast how important Brott is to the D-line. And him throwing his helmet in frustration is worrying even though he will work his ass off to play the game but, how healthy is he? And the other players are banged up how much will that affect us?
Also, I am a Minnesota sports fan who has gotten super unlucky with teams and have never felt a championship experience… the only experience of a championship I have felt is the MSU lacrosse team winning nationals. So, I am ready to be hurt again.

Holy crap, just listened to the Fight in Montana Podcast… Those two dudes are some of the biggest Gris homers I have heard. Lots and lots of terrible takes on the Cats. Are they that delusional over in Gris lala land?
Yes I listened to it so I could get input from Griz fans for our podcast and they pretty much think it's a done deal, buy your Nashville tickets and book the trip. Also a ton of bad info in there too.
I don't want to listen to that drivel. Can you give some examples of the bad information?

Here’s your challenge for the day IdHate2beaGrizFan (awesome trolling over on Griz by the way….you’re a great representative of this fan base)

Provide even 1 post where I said here or on eGriz that I’m thoroughly convinced the Griz will win this one. You won’t find it as it doesn’t exist. Nice try though.

In fact, the only post I’ve made over here about the game at all is when someone here was asking how getting Loud back makes a difference. I did a breakdown on that. Stop being so damn soft.

Not even me but I appreciate the compliment. I should hop on the burner account trend cause clearly that guy is getting to you guys.

It was more a generalization about the stupidity of EGriz and I know you spend more time on here than actual cat fans, so I recognized your name and wanted to rope you into it. You’re delusional if you don’t believe griz fans arnt cockier than they have been. You respond oddly quick on here btw. Constantly Refreshing the rivals page is strange.

I don’t really care on most their bad takes, however, blatant lies about locker room drama and team issues kind of messed up.

Sports Bet MT opened with cats -5.5 favorites. This is going to be an epic brawl. I see the gris moving away from the 4-5 yrd pass in the flats they did in Brawl 1.0 by taking more downfield shots and they will try again to attack our lb’s in the pass game. We just need to limit mistakes, play sound and win by 1 effing point. However, It’d be awesome if we win by 21. \:D/
The spread being so low (-5.5) means it’s purely a home field advantage in the oddsmakers’ view. I’m not as confident as the house. I think the Cats are better and would bet them at home or on a neutral field. However, I can always be wrong. This game will show us which team is better for sure. Why do I sense that if the Griz win, a lot of posters here will say all that loser crap like, “We’re still better, we didn’t play well, yada yada, blah blah??” Can’t we at least agree that the better team wins this Saturday?
I didn’t hear any of those kinds of excuses from the Griz fans three weeks ago. Unreal.
Yeah no S--T!! What are you talking about, OIdGriz. I didn't hear one Griz fan say that a month ago. At least on online.

If you’ve read anything I’ve said about the Cats v. Griz, you will see I said the Cats are better than the Griz because the Cats beat the Griz. I stand by that. There is another contest coming up on Saturday. The outcome will again determine the best team. I find it amusing that 90% of Cat fans can’t admit it and are leaving room to say “we’re better but we just didn’t play well.” No excuses. If the Cats win, they are still better than the Griz and I will root for them in the chipper. If the Griz win, though, wait for a long line of excuses in here.

Our interior O Line better figure it out, I'll say that.

But this will be a battle and a very stressful game. I trust Vigen to make the right adjustments and our playmakers to make the plays they've made all season.
Have they been playing bad? News to me.
Not sure I'm watching the same games as you then. The inside run game has been lackluster.
Just took us a while in both games to figure out they're run fits. We ran it effectively in both games in the 2nd 1/2

Stop calling it Mecca. Seriously.
I’ve never heard Griz fans call it that. ESPN and some national writers, yes.
Seriously? I commonly hear griz fans call it that.
Seriously — I’ve never heard it from Griz fans. But I’m old and hang with old fans.
Speaking of old fans - I went to this site earlier today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montana%E ... ll_rivalry and noticed the first paragraph has this sentence: "The game is most historically and commonly known as the Griz-Cat game, and sometimes as the Cat-Griz game."

I grew up near Missoula until I went to school at MSU in the early '80's. I never heard the game referred to as griz/cat until some time during the streak (I'd estimate mid-90's). Is that what you and your old fan friends remember?

I've gotten used to griz fans wanting to put their name first on this game (though I do think it's petty and juvenile), but it does bother me when people put false information on a site like Wikipedia. I know I should be used to BS on the internet by now. I'm not going to lose sleep over it but I don't understand why people want to put out revisionist history.
I feel like it started under Bobby 1.0. I love hearing Gris fans call it that because it makes them sound real intelligent.
Marty calls it Griz Cat and probably always has. Most of my old Griz buddies have always called in Cat/Griz. Just sounds right.

Dang, some good stuff with Bobby's interview. First off, seems to be floating some potential future excuses out there... how physical their games have been, they're banged up, having to shorten practices, etc. Also, I found it interesting he said the Cats should have been ranked #1 over NDSU.
He wanted us #1 so he wouldn't have to play us in Bozeman.
Are they even banged up? All I hear is how theyre getting everyone back.
If you're not a little banged up this time of year you haven't played very many snaps.
