Hyped up Griz run defense coming into Bobcat Stadium. What could go wrong for them...
I hear they’re going to have a team meal at the Kountry Korner because Tuilaupupu can get a senior discount.
Will Julius Davis be there? 7th season for him correct? Maybe they can have a coach vs Davis WWF event too!
Davis agreed to meet Pupu there, but Pupu doesn’t seem to know how to access his voicemails. Can one of you show him how to use his phone? Davis gets there early so he can get a copy of the Chronicle to check the weather.
Last I checked, SFA was ranked third against the run and we only ran for 227 yards while passing for 246. UM feeds on that crowd and that will be absent Saturday. I like that Cats by 10 or more.

Sorry to interrupt, but we are talking about the Kountry Korner here.

This will be for literally all the marbles. Assuming the winner wins the natty, this literally couldn’t get any bigger. If we win, we put an exclamation point on dominating the Gris, throw our hat in the ring for a potential run that can challenge NDSU, and have something to hold onto forever. If the Gris win, we can kiss all these notions of being the better program goodbye. They will have won a championship before us during the “golden age” of MSU football. They will forever attract the best transfers, and Gris fans will literally NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT IT. This is an incredibly large game. I have a bowling ball in my stomach. I hope we bring our A game. Otherwise, these past 2 years will be both the best teams and the most bitter endings in my memory.
Wow doom and gloom. It will mean they beat the Cats in 1 game and a split for the season. Cats didn't really go after same # of transfers so don't think it will impact that. Might say something about senior laden transfer team vs young mostly HS recruited team. And to say they are the better program based on that is ridiculous
It will take an incredible effort by UM to beat us. Fans needs to understand this.
This fan gets it….

Do you mind explaining your rationale?
-Vigen is 39-2 at home (2 OT losses to NDSU AND SDSU)
-Vigen is 3-2 against the Griz
-Vigen is 2-0 against the Griz at home (Both blowouts)
-Griz are 2-7 against the Cats the last 9 years
-During this round in the playoffs, the Supercomputer has us at 44% chance at winning the Natty, Griz are at 9%
-Our Defense is much better than theirs, we can slow down Wortham and Gillman and have already proven to have done so...
-We tend to beat teams worse the second time around the last few years
-WE BEAT THEM THIS YEAR AT THEIR HOUSE!!!
The list goes on and on...

I feel like it will be a good game, but it is near impossible for them or any team to come into Bozeman and win under this current regime. I feel really good about our chances. Homefeild advantage is absolutely HUGE! If the Cats show up and play their style, dictating the flow of the game, it will take a generational performance by the Griz to beat us at our place! Bobcat Stadium will be the loudest it has ever been next weekend. Mark my words!
I couldn’t have said it better myself..100% agree

ESPn/abc announcer lead guy needs to get new underwear for his new found 4 days in Missoula love fest he’s had with Bobby and the fris players that was awful
You are correct. It was nauseating to listen to. I was swearing at the TV “him” every time he would talk them up.

Obviously both teams have alot of film on each other, and a bunch from the last game they played each other, what worked, what didn't. It'll be a bit of a chess match on the play calls. Which coaching staff plays chess better? Bobby claimed after their loss that they had a conservative game plan. Does that change now? Is he going to be a tricky dick like when they played SDSU? Will Howe draw up some different defensive packages to prevent a gash run like Gillman had last game. I sure hope they have 1-2 guys always on Wortham. He was a non-factor in the last game, and we need a repeat of that. But we also need someone on Deck, as he's a pretty speedy player, and he was a spark for them. Hoping KAY spends alot of time on his back, go Eiden and Co.!!!

I'm so nervously optimistic about this game.

We will play our game, if they were smart they’d play the second half game plan they used in the Brawl. However, they will try to be tricky with Wortham and Ah-Yat and it will bite them in the ass.

Our interior O Line better figure it out, I'll say that.

But this will be a battle and a very stressful game. I trust Vigen to make the right adjustments and our playmakers to make the plays they've made all season.
Have they been playing bad? News to me.

Not sure it’s possible for that side to watch a single football game without bellyaching about the refs. If they aren’t calling things blatantly for the Gris they are terrible. There are a bunch of posts saying the Cats got all the calls Friday.

I have an idea they will come into Bobcat stadium very overconfident. I mean they "only lost by 3 points" the last time we played them, and they've been dominating teams in the playoffs, where the Cats games have been closer, especially Yale. They will come in with a giant killers mentality, cocky and arrogant. I think the game could also get chippy, because Bobby coaches his players to be dirty, twist ankles and stuff. They may target Davis too. This week in practice I'm hoping Vigen and company fully prepare the team for all the possibilities as I'm sure Bobby will try to throw the kitchen sink at us.

Yeah. We got all the calls. All 12 of them for 100 yards.

Cats by 21. We haven't even came close to playing our best game this year. Griz did Saturday.

What do you expect from a fan base that learned what little they know about the game from listening to tv announcers?

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

We need an exclamation point type victory next week. Not a 3 point win but a multiple score victory. No excuses from them or their fans when we send them packin. Everyone involved with them from their team to fans are overconfident.

Sports Bet MT opened with cats -5.5 favorites. This is going to be an epic brawl. I see the gris moving away from the 4-5 yrd pass in the flats they did in Brawl 1.0 by taking more downfield shots and they will try again to attack our lb’s in the pass game. We just need to limit mistakes, play sound and win by 1 effing point. However, It’d be awesome if we win by 21. \:D/

That if they want to wait for longer pass plays, that is going to give Eiden and Co more time to get home.

The spread being so low (-5.5) means it’s purely a home field advantage in the oddsmakers’ view. I’m not as confident as the house. I think the Cats are better and would bet them at home or on a neutral field. However, I can always be wrong. This game will show us which team is better for sure. Why do I sense that if the Griz win, a lot of posters here will say all that loser crap like, “We’re still better, we didn’t play well, yada yada, blah blah??” Can’t we at least agree that the better team wins this Saturday?

I didn’t hear any of those kinds of excuses from the Griz fans three weeks ago. Unreal.

Their excuse from the Brawl was to remove plays that hurt them. That is no different than saying, we will take away a TD from them because we missed a tackle or they should have dropped a pass. Every play counts. People never talk about a missed block that could have changed a game early, or the wrong choice on an RPO.

Champions do not make excuses. Champions look at themselves and find a way to be better next time. As a fanbase be a Champion as well.
