I nominate Victor Flores to ask a direct question on Monday: "Why didn't Elliot get a single carry until the final drive of the game?"
If he was hurt he shouldn't have been out there at all. If he was healthy, what's up?

But my point stands. Chambers isn’t the answer as a passer. It’s honestly amazing to think the last true passed we had was Prukop. That’s a problem.
Not saying Tommy can't get there, but right now I think it's pretty clear that Prukop has a leg up.
The best team I recall Prukop playing against was Arkansas St.
That’s an interesting takeaway for that interview. A question that should be asked, but I think Vigen was pretty direct and on point with everything he said.coloradocat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:33 pmI nominate Victor Flores to ask a direct question on Monday: "Why didn't Elliot get a single carry until the final drive of the game?"

I won't say the griss passing game is on parr with beaver passing but it is good and will be a challenge to defend.91catAlum wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:21 pmPerhaps I'm misunderstanding your post, but if you just said that the griz are equipped to throw the ball on our defense like Oregon State just did, then ya I'm gonna disagree with you on that...onceacat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:10 pmI agree with most of that...except that the rest of the schedule includes a Griz team that is equipped to do the same thing and presumably a playoff game against NDSU. Who will also expose the same set of issues.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:05 pmWe played better than we did against NDSU with less talent on the roster. Tommy often looked like the best player on the field. The OL was fantastic. The DL was solid until they just ran out of gas. We couldn't compete with their skill positions, but that won't be a problem we face in the rest of the schedule for the most part. I saw some issues and problems of course, but nothing egregiously bad. I'm welcome to your opinion on what you saw... Oh that's right, you only saw the box score.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 9:54 pmHaha, “68 says Carnack”! If you ever played the game you’d understand my consternation. One thing is clear without ever watching the game, our D was smoked…why? Anyway…continue on.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 9:46 pmI'm known for being overly optimistic and unrealistic around here.catsrback76 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 9:15 pmI didn’t watch our listen to the game, but wow, your blue and gold glasses need some cleaning, this was a dismantling of a 4th ranked FCS team by a middle of the road PAC 12 team. This should not have ever happened. Maybe coaching, maybe, scheme, maybe under developed players…but I would lay this at the feet of Garza and Vigen…but mainly Garza!BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 9:10 pmI wouldn't be too worried. We're out matched at the skill position level, but we played pretty well imo.
If you didn't watch it, I don't see how you can have much of an opinion. The people blaming this all on Garza, quite frankly, are similar to those who thought Housewright was awful last year. Know nothing blowhards without an ounce of football knowledge to them. The game we played tonight, we beat 90% of FCS teams with, at minimum.![]()
I don't think it needed to be asked postgame but I think it should be asked on Monday once everyone has had a chance to digest the game. I just posted it there because it was fresh in my mind. The question isn't going away so it should be asked and answered.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:36 pmThat’s an interesting takeaway for that interview. Overall (passing, running, vision, football IQ) abilities. Mellott is way better at making plays in key moments in big games. He’s a better QB overall mainly because of that. They’re similar statistically.CatBlitz wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:40 pmAre you just talking about FBS games or overall QB ability?TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:33 pmPrukop was 14-26-2, 142 yards, 0 TDs vs Arkansas St.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:25 pmThey’re pretty even in terms of passing the ball, statistically. You sound entitled. I suggest you join the QB Club and ask the coach directly because you deserve answers!Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:03 pmI was only able to listen to the game so don't have any visual of it . I must say I can't recall hearing Taco Dowler's name and didn't hear Garret Coons name and I've been patient on hearing Elijah Elliott getting the hand off and a chance to run with it but My patience has run out. I want to know why he isn't getting a chance to run the rock.
Two logical options:Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:03 pmI was only able to listen to the game so don't have any visual of it . Your hearing and interpretation are horrible but you're entitled to your opinion all the same.rivercat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:08 pmYou sound entitled. 1) He's the 5th string back and just isn't good enough to get carries against that caliber team.
2) They just don't trust him and he's only playing bc there are no other options.
Vigen is a great coach. This game doesn't reflect the team's talent and abilities. I expect a huge turnaround next week.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:52 pmProps to coach Vigen's post-game interview. He understands clearly all of what this performance and loss means to the team and season and is prepared to move forward and use this as a teaching opportunity. If this team has the culture and attitude that I think they have, they will go into the EWU game with a vengeance and agenda to show that they are better than what they showed tonight. Let us hope and pray, Amen
So far tonight Eleven kids have run the ball for NDSU. Depth. Really critical to have depth.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:14 pmTwo logical options:Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 11:03 pmI was only able to listen to the game so don't have any visual of it .
