All I know is that if he goes to the cowboys, I’ll be sorely disappointed and hope he gets cut. ANYBODY would then pick him up. Just not Dallas please!
There wouldn't be a better look than Troy... a bonafide cowboy, in the silver and blue as a Cowboy. It would be majestic and I can't think of a finer player representing such a storied franchise. The fanbase would embrace TA and treat him close to a deity. You shut your damn mouth. [-X

HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!
I hate this post as much as I hate the Cowboys (a lot), but I do think you're correct about the bolded part, assuming he has even moderate success.
Shows up to camp in a cowboy hat, becomes fan favorite.
Exactly. He'd make a fortune in endorsement deals down there...again assuming he's somewhat productive as a player.

I imagine Troy and Vander Esch as roommates who carpool to practices/games in a flatbed diesel.

Not sure if this article was posted already. It is from ESPN and has a highlight video showing him as a RB, QB and LB. The write up is impressive.

Raiders draft assessment I read the other day described Troy as having "unusual" athletic ability. Site also says Troy would be a dream pick if he's around by pick 86.

This is so fxxxcking cool to see a Montana kid get this attention. I'm from Great Falls and saw the same thing happen to Leaf, but this feels different because Troy actually played for the home team. Mariani was a cool situation too.

Hopefully TA's route to the NFL can and will be used a a recruiting tool for the Cats.

Pleas don't compare him to leaf! I was a season ticket holder for the chargers when he was drafted and after the draft, I had to stand in line an hour to give up my season tickets. 5000 season ticket holders turned them in the first week.

Correction. .22 or a .30-06 and a cattle prod.

And @BelligerentBobcat is spot on. No one waves in my hometown anymore (Livingston). Too many out of state big city transplants have bled over Bozeman pass and taken the small town charm away.

Yeah I'm not sure why you think it didn't happen. Ticket sales were so bad down there. The city had a contract with the chargers that if they didn't sell 60,000 tickets the city would buy the difference to get to 60000 attendance at face value. Over about 10 years this cost the city $43 million and is a big reason why they didn't get a new stadium. The only reason they had attendance was because the city had to buy them and had to give them away to school students that wanted them and they couldn't even give them away to get to the 60,000 fans in the seats.

We've been working on these all 2022, and in the case of my long form story on Troy, quite honestly since 2017. His talent was undeniable the very first time we ever saw him. Also, appreciate Evan Morris for reaching out and contributing his version of "The world meeting Troy Andersen story."

Enjoy!

What a biased, one-sided story this is. There are literally no quotes from the anonymous expert talent evaluators from egriz. Total Cat homer piece....

/sarcasm

Really great work here Colter. That was a joy to read.
