Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Andersen outperformed Anthony Barr, who was a #9 pick in the 2014 draft, in every combine event. Troy is more fluid and instinctive than Barr IMO.

I’m getting a kick out of how you’re trolling the board with all of this hype and pressure you’re putting on Troy, but Minnesota has had Pro Bowls WRs in Theilen, Diggs, and Justin Jefferson in the last decade alone. Jefferson has made the Pro Bowl each of his first two seasons.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 5:03 pmI don’t like the Broncos, but I think it’s a great fit for him. Giants 5,7,36
Lions 2,32,34
Vikings 12,46
Falcons 8,43
Seahawks 9,40,41
These are the teams that are most likely to draft Andersen. I think the highest he’ll go is 18 to Philadelphia and I have heard that they like him, but I think that’s a long shot even though they have a pick right before that. I have heard that the Vikings, Commanders, Falcons and Seahawks like him. Unless the Seahawks take a LB at 9, I don’t see them passing on him at either 40 or 41. 41…wouldn’t that be a cool coincidence? I don’t see him getting past Philly at 51.
All this is contingent upon a good physical, which I think will be the case. He aggravated a stinger in the Senior Bowl is my belief and I don’t think that’s going to scare anyone off based on his rare combination of talent, intuition and dimensions.
If Minnesota signs Andersen he’ll be at least the third best player they’ve signed since ‘98 and best defensive player since whatever year Alan Page was drafted.
Since 1998
Jared Allen was a 3x 1st team All-Pro on defense
Keven Williams was a 5x 1st team All Pro on defense
Erik Kendricks 1st team All Pro and currently plays Troy’s position for the Vikings
Diminishing the success other Vikings since 1998 in order to elevate an unproven Andersen seems to be a ridiculous expectation, but again, you’re trolling.
Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

You’re trolling me. I’m trolling no one. Just sharing my opinion. I’m a Viking fan. Troy is not feeling any pressure from anything I’m saying, but thanks for thinking I have that kind of gravity.PapaG wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:23 amI’m getting a kick out of how you’re trolling the board with all of this hype and pressure you’re putting on Troy, but Minnesota has had Pro Bowls WRs in Theilen, Diggs, and Justin Jefferson in the last decade alone. Andersen outperformed all of those guys in college and will do the same in the pros. He’s better. They aren’t being diminished. Ahmad Rashad and Cris Carter weren’t diminished when I said Moss would end up the best WR in Minnesota history.
You’re comparing the track records of players who have either completed their careers or are halfway through to someone who hasn’t stepped on the field.
Barring injury I predict Andersen will play in multiple Pro Bowls and be a multiple All Pro and end up in the NFL HOF.

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
The Vikings drafted a raw Eric Kendricks with the 45th pick in 2015 (albeit a different front office and coaching staff) and that turned out pretty dang good. Hopefully they see the same in Andersen and draft him with this year's 46th pick.
Of course Troy's combine/pro day numbers are WAY better than Eric's...

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
As a Vikings Fan, that'd be a dream scenario for him to end up there! Plus, it's one of the few places with a direct flight out of Great Falls. But I also love the idea of Seattle as it's also an easy place to get to for games, and we can pick up most of their games on TV.
And I sure hope Tom is right with his high praise and predictions. With the combination of size, speed and smarts, the sky does seem to be the limit.
It'll definitely be interesting to watch his pro career play out.

Some people are a lot like slinkies....... Not really good for much, but it puts a smile on your face to watch them fall down a set of stairs.

It will be a tall order but I hope Troy surpasses any of these guys' productivity.

Not sure I like the idea of Atlanta. Beirman did well until Dancing with (Kinda of a Star), then it was all down hill.CodyCat wrote: ↑Tue Apr 19, 2022 7:28 amMel Kiper/Todd McShay's latest Mock:

There wouldn't be a better look than Troy... a bonafide cowboy, in the silver and blue as a Cowboy. It would be majestic and I can't think of a finer player representing such a storied franchise. The fanbase would embrace TA and treat him close to a deity.
