He was trying to fight people the whole game. I really wish the refs would have done something about that. The fact that the head coach wouldn't be interviewed is so tacky. I mean come on. They outplayed and outcoached the Cats today it seemed, and yet we still won. There was some SERIOUS emotion during the game and alot for the coaches to address this week in practice from that, to some sloppiness, etc. I think we'll see a very different team next week.. Ok wow.
Which is true. I think everyone knows that the players in the 'Bama/Georgia game are not worried about finals this week.
Not sure why this is somehow news to football fans.

An hour before the game even started? When did they have the opportunity? Very interesting. It was a very weird game and there seemed to be some bad juju going on for sure. It carried over into the game and after as expected.
I actually predicted that the player for MSU would get a penalty in the game and he did.
There was no way these two teams were getting off the field without some kind altercation.

I've watched all of msu's games this year.... and last year. This is Julius. He's overly emotional. All year he's been getting up chirping at people, he's routinely pulled away from opposing players. The players don't say nothing about it, the COACHES don't say anything about it. They created this monster they have to live with it. I DON'T think he's a bad person and I fully expect him to be in more control. I fully expect sfa to do everything they can to get him to make a bad decision and try to get him to cost his team yards or get thrown out. He has to know that and humble himself for the greater good, which I believe he'll do.
It wasn't a good look but recruits don't care. He's a sr, he won't be here next year so why would it affect anything? yes this is making waves across the internet. It's all over my Facebook page and everyone has an opinion. It's what it is... block out the noise.... BEAT SFA!!

Cedric Jefferson (False Start)
JT Reed (False Start)
Titan Fleischman (Holding)
Brody Johnson (Snap Infraction)
Carson Williams (Blindside Block Personal Foul)
Team (Delay of Game)
Seems fairly clear who Tom is talking about here. And the penalty happened on a major pet peeve of mine, when players intercept deep passes on fourth down and cost their team 30 or 40 yards of field position by doing so. As Tom Jackson would always say...KNOCK IT DOWN!

Exactly. Monday it will be forgotten. Shoot it probably already has because of that Ohio St/Indiana game. And anyone that remembers will just think it was the griz anyway 6 weeks from now. I went in to work after the game and one of our managers immediately mentioned how our RB had a meltdown after the game ... that was his first takeaway.
So was it the end of the world? Nope. Was it a horrible look for the team? Yes.

Re: Julius Davis
From my perspective...Julius was dabbing up his ex-teammate when another Yale player came over and appeared to say something. Then Julius got aggitated and started chirping. Vigen came over at that point and the cameras caught the rest...then Vigen started walking down Yale side numbers, saw some other Cat players standing close to Yale players leaving the field (Cat players appeared to be chirping at them, and possibly a few who gained notoriety in WaGriz this year with post game antics) and Vigen had to corral them away from Yale players. Then he went into the prayer circle and went nuclear on them. I'm sure there were several reasons, but my guess would be there is some carryover from WaGriz post game antics and then this week post game antics.

Get a grip on your purse, Sally. No recruit is going to make a decision because of this.
It's a general rule of thumb that anything negative can hurt recruiting. This was negative.
And my name's not Sally. Stay away from my purse.

Re: Julius Davis
I'm fairly confident that was a offensive "play", if we stopped them, great field position for MSU. They attempt the 4th down, if someone is wide open, throw to them,.if not throw a bomb down field, that only our DB/safety can make a play. They bait the defense into a INT, not thinking it actually give the offense worse field position. Watch the throw, the WR isn't going for the ball.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 11:13 pmHmm, so the MSU penalties today were:TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 9:30 pmThe whole trash talking tone of the game was set about an hour or more before the game. Interesting that there was so much talking going on. Whether we started it or they did, getting pulled into it to the extend we apparently did, to the point where the whole vibe was off all day, is a bad job by our team. Especially at home against an inferior team. Just go play.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 11:13 pmHmm, so the MSU penalties today were:TomCat88 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 9:30 pmThe whole trash talking tone of the game was set about an hour or more before the game. Not really. It's a terrible look and it's all over espn and social media.
If i were Vigen, Julius would sit out the 1st half of Friday's game.

Re: Julius Davis
This. We've got some young guys. We've got a different mentality this year, more swagger and salty. A chippier team, alot more mouthy than last year's team. If stuff started an hour before the game, that certainly contributed to the weird vibe yesterday. Doesn't matter who started it, the Bobcats need to be better, and I think they will be. Tommy, in that interview last week, mentioned Vigen being moral. I am certain there was a come to Jesus speech in the locker room which followed up whatever it was he said in the prayer circle. I saw several, of not all, of the coaches on the field moving the Cat players away from the Yale players. The coaches knew there was a problem and were trying to prevent things from getting worse. That's likely why Vigen was pushing Julius so hard, even if what was happening wasn't what Vigen thought was happening, he was attempting to control the drama. Unfortunately it all got worse and went viral. Look for the team to pull things together and make a strong run the rest of the way. Days liked yesterday can make you worse or better. I think it was a learning experience that will improve the team moving forward.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 7:49 amInteresting that there was so much talking going on. Very niche and small subsets of people in platforms that constantly bombard their consumer with “Breaking News.”
The only people who will care after next weekend about this are Gris trolls using it to agitate Bobcat fans as some weird sort of fanbase leverage. Even with that, the ref yesterday called MSU “Montana” at least once during the game so outside of this state, nobody knows the difference other than FCS super fans.

Griz trolls have been absolutely awful the last few years. Since their big college/community oops in 2010/2012 they have had an axe to grind. I agree though, only way this stays a ‘big deal’ is if we keep re-hashing it or feed the trolls.PapaG wrote: ↑Sun Dec 07, 2025 9:04 amVery niche and small subsets of people in platforms that constantly bombard their consumer with “Breaking News.”
