Re: Friday Night
Not many tickets left right now.
I dont understand where the tickets come from late in the week that got released for UT Martin. But, if no more tickets are released its going to be near sell out.

Yes you must purchase parking but if you chose to buy that parking way back when you bought your season tickets you were went sent paper hang tags for these playoff games back in August. If you chose to not buy parking when you bought your season tickets but now want parking you can purchase parking as long as there is still space available and those passes will be sent to your phone. Even if you're not a season ticket holder you can purchase parking for each game if available.CodyCat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:22 pmThese arent tailgate parking passes. MSU started charging for parking this year in all their lots. You must also purchase parking before you get to whatever lot you are going to park in. They send you a parking pass to your phone just like tickets.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:13 pmCan someone explain the parking issue to me? When we received our passes and tailgate passes, they gave us three playoff game passes at the start of the year. They even say playoff game one, playoff game 2, and playoff game 3, so we didn’t have to renew any pass stuff, just the season tickets. Maybe everybody is talking about other parking passes?
If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

Re: Friday Night
Is Friday night more inconvenient for some, yes absolutely even including the MSU staff. No one is saying it isn't, even Leon. For you to contend that MSU hosting a nationally televised game on the primary sports network that everyone in this country (and every bar or restaurant with a tv) watches when there are no other games on to contend with isn't a "good thing™" is crazy. You saying that is no different than what you say you don't like about people complaining just to complain or others acting like the complaints don't matter. Of course this matters. If it didn't why would it even matter if it was on TV? That nationally televised game on Saturday afternoon? Yeah it's up against Army-Navy, a game that drew 7.5 million viewers last year. There is a difference, it is a big deal, nobody is gaslighting or minimizing the fact that it also comes with a lot of inconveniences as well.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:16 pmThe Idaho schedule is really the only true advantage I see but even that just means they leave Friday morning instead of Friday afternoon so not a huge deal (I think their proximity is the primary reason we got the Friday night game).tetoncat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:05 pmOnly game on vs other games. It is a good thing. Also Idaho had a late game and now has to play Friday while traveling, another advantage. It is inconvenient for some fans, but maybe others can now go that wouldn't on Sat.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:01 pmI'll be interested to hear which recruits we sign specifically because our game is on Friday night and not Saturday afternoon (when there are two other nationally televised games). Not plus, not 2 or the ocho, the main channel. This game will be on the primary tv at every sports bar across the country. Now let’s help our Cats show the bleep out.rfischer94 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 1:17 pmThis is a comment from Leon on FB responding to someone who was upset about a Friday night game.PHAT CAT wrote: ↑Sun Dec 08, 2024 7:25 pmI live .9 miles from my driveway to the stadium and I'm pissed about a Friday night game. "Een though we don’t get a choice, I disagree, not BS. It is actually an advantage to the team to play Friday night. I know the issues that it causes for some fans and even us logistically, but I do know the NCAA and ESPN love our environment during playoff night games.
That and being on ESPN (the mothership) with no other games on is a huge recruiting tool for the program.
Either way, we are excited to be in the quarterfinals and look forward to a Bobcat Stadium party Friday night!! Go Cats!!"
Wait, neither of those things is going to happen? Oh well, at least they love our environment.
I actually like the Friday night game and will be there loud and proud. I just don't appreciate the gaslighting from Leon. "Sure everyone's inconvenienced but that's really a good thing."
The whole "only football game on in the country" is nice but it's being oversold. What are the actual tangible benefits to this? We don't get a larger payout, we won't get any recruits we otherwise wouldn't have, we won't suddenly attract new large donors. Maybe we get a handful of new out of state students to enroll but I could care less about that in the current state of the university.
Again, I like the Friday night game but that's largely because I won't have trouble attending and don't mind driving home afterwards in the middle of the night. Just not a fan of the idea that it's actually a good thing that it'll be harder for many fans to make it, leading to a smaller crowd.
I don't like it when people complain just to complain but I also don't like it when the complaints are valid and people come along and act like they don't matter because of some shiny object.

Re: Friday Night
After the tickets went on sale to the general public, I am unable to look at individual seats/sections to see what is available. But when I bought my extras during the season ticket holder period, I would say over half section 124 was available, I am assuming that is the visitor section. Also on the sideline sections there were areas where whole rows were available or close to it.

I just noticed this too but am a little skeptical from last week when on Monday it looked like a near sell out and then Wednesday had a big ticket dump. I feel like that is going to happen again as I did not expect this few of tickets today.

Re: Friday Night
I don't think unsold season tickets have been released yet.
I heard that that is what happened last week, the unsold season tickets didn't drop until later in the week.

Re: Friday Night
When I looked this morning at 10 for the season ticket holder presale there were a TON of seats available. They finally got the seating picker back up for the public sale and by my count of green dots there are only approximately 115 seats remaining almost half of those are just singles. Not sure if they held back the season ticket non-purchased but they were showing this morning or if they actually sold that many today. Hoping it is the latter and we are in for a big and loud crowd.

They messed up sending me our season ticket seats. But, they got us seats for the game, so, no big deal. I say this because, our season ticket seats had already been bought. So, it might be the latter.kmax wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 4:29 pmWhen I looked this morning at 10 for the season ticket holder presale there were a TON of seats available. The College Football Campus Tour guy- @cfbcampustour on Twitter is coming to our game with Idaho! I hope I can find him and get a selfie.
For those who don't know, this guy has a major cult following. His goal this season is to attend 100 college football games. He is famous for his obstructed view posts from stadiums all over the country.

Looks like they just opened up the top row of secton 119 (behind students). I'm guessing not all student tix went out so have opened up a bit of that. Just in case anyone needs more than a single or two together, get over there quick.

Unless they release a bunch of tickets, I’d say this thing is nearly sold out looking at the seating chart

Re: Friday Night
Also you can park in the Museum of the Rockies parking lot for $20 bucks, (bring cash), which these days is not a huge amount, it is $5 dollars more than the lot 13 and even a bit closer. You do not need to purchase in advance for that. We had a member in our tailgate and seating crew park there last week, showed up an hour before kickoff and plenty of parking still available.CodyCat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:22 pmThese arent tailgate parking passes. Not sure where there's any "gaslighting" in Leon's comment. As the AD his #1 priority is that the Bobcats win the football game, and I 100% agree with him that playing on Friday night when your opponent has to travel coming off of a short week is definitely an advantage over playing on Saturday. He then fully acknowledges that the schedule will cause inconveniences for some fans.coloradocat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 2:01 pmI'll be interested to hear which recruits we sign specifically because our game is on Friday night and not Saturday afternoon (when there are two other nationally televised games). Re: Friday Night
Last playoff night game was vs. Willam & Mary and it has a listed attendance of 14,367. That is tickets sold, I believe, and doesn't count everyone in attendance (workers, teams, etc.). It was bitter cold that night (even Cam Newton was bundled up) and I think travel was sketchy on some roads, so this game might draw more fans. I think MSU being more highly touted and hyped may add to that number also. I would guess over 16,000.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Friday Night
It'll be interesting to see. You have the Friday factor that may or may not affect attendance. But, you also have the number one team in the country on a 13 game winning streak. There was an opportunity for Vandal fans to get tickets to this game, unlike the first one in October. They may have a decent showing of fans. I wouldnt be surprised if it was 15K and I wouldnt be surprised if it was 20K.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 6:05 amLast playoff night game was vs. Willam & Mary and it has a listed attendance of 14,367. Re: Friday Night
During Cats National Championship game run, Butte rallied behind Tommy. It helped attendance. With this being his last year, success of Cats, will they do so again even if fans of other teams, to support the local kid. Hopefully we see that with Bozeman, Missoula and Billi gs as well. Lot of kids from those towns playing key rolls.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 6:05 amLast playoff night game was vs. Willam & Mary and it has a listed attendance of 14,367.
