Yep, probably one possession longer than necessary.WetBreeches wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 11:25 pmSorry.... probably should have put sarcasm in parentheses after Rohan comment...Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:08 pmRohan was literally jumping up and down on the sideline. He seemed good to go. Hopefully it was just a precautionary thing to get rested and get 100% for the rest of the playoffs.WetBreeches wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 8:53 pmI have no information...but I could see Davis being "a week or two away" for the rest of the season...I say that recognizing how impactful Davis can be...Rohan looked to be moving alright on the sideline.
Agree on Tommy and Scottrie playing well past the point of outcome being decided. Especially with Scottrie already getting nicked up previously.

Re: Injuries (UM game update)
Scottre only had 11 carries. He's been out since 1st half of UCD so maybe trying to get some reps.grizzh8r wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 11:21 pmI was saying the same thing at the same time. I know it's sometimes a fine line, but if the Cats are going to make a run to Frisco, it's CRITICAL that the leaders and starters on this team stay as healthy as possible. Up by 3+ tds late in the 3rd, both Tommy and Scottre should have been done for the day. It's really my only complaint this whole season, is keeping these guy in harms way too long.Travelingcat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 11:05 pmMy only frustration in the game in an otherwise impressive performance was seeing Humphrey limp off with three minutes left in the 3rd quarter when we were up by 32. He should not have been in the game at all then.
Ditto with seeing Tommy play well into the 4th quarter. No need to risk injuiry with bigger games to play.

Rohan sure looked more than questionable on the sidelines Saturday.

I bet Davis will be out until 2025; the real question is whether it will be January or August 2025.

When a player has been done for the year in the past, Vigen was very up front about it. I think there's a chance that Davis comes back this season. The Butcher wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 1:01 pmI bet Davis will be out until 2025; the real question is whether it will be January or August 2025.

I agree and think that was sort of what the poster was saying... that if the Cat make it to Frisco Julius probably plays.rfischer94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 9:44 pmWhen a player has been done for the year in the past, Vigen was very up front about it. I saw that Davis was on crutches on the sideline at the UT Martin game. Not saying Frisco is impossible but I would honestly be surprised.catatac wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 9:55 pmI agree and think that was sort of what the poster was saying... that if the Cat make it to Frisco Julius probably plays.rfischer94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 9:44 pmWhen a player has been done for the year in the past, Vigen was very up front about it. Saw that too. I love watching Julius just punish guys running the ball, and damn I would love to see him on the field in the semifinal or next. But I also want him back next season because at full-strength Julius will do amazing things next season. I hope he's doing right by him and taking care of himself.BornBobcat2000 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 10:50 pmI saw that Davis was on crutches on the sideline at the UT Martin game. Re: Injuries (UT Martin game update)
Like others have said, I think the next two weeks are absolutely out of the question. The national championship would be a possibility, but a small one. I’d say less than 50/50 shot. Jan 6 would put him just over 6 weeks out from injury. I’d love to see him out there, but anything less than maybe an 80% Davis just isn’t worth it when the Cats have the RB room that they have.rfischer94 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2024 9:44 pmWhen a player has been done for the year in the past, Vigen was very up front about it. My understanding was it was a minor cleanup and not surgical. Three to four weeks typically. He will be questionable for the semi but likely held out, but full go for the final.Catsrgrood wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 10:17 amLike others have said, I think the next two weeks are absolutely out of the question. Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Ugh the one problem with blowing people out is i spend most of the 3rd and 4th quarter praying we don't lose any more starters. Screw Eck for extending the game and getting more players hurt on both sides after they had no chance of coming back.

Yeah. Boot in the 1st half and running around in it. Then no boot in the 2nd and dancing.
Polidore didn't partake in the post game handshakes and limped to the locker room.

Re: Injuries (UT Martin game update)
Not sure if anyone else caught it but the ESPN announcers said that Davis suffered an MCL injury against the Gris. Anyone know the timeline for return for that? From my limited knowledge, it's usually about 6 weeks, depending on severity, which could mean he'd be back right around the championship??
Also, they said that Ryan Lonergan got hurt and limped off the field but I'm pretty sure he went back in after that and caught a pass. Can anyone confirm it was Ryan? they didn't actually show who it was on the broadcast
