Scottre was emergency only today and we saw what he looked like on two snaps...not ready. He may not be 100% for rest of the season.
Julius got his ankle rolled up on pretty good. But he was wearing his knee brace over his sweats so maybe its the knee? Anyway, have a bad feeling about it but nothing confirmed.

Now he’s an emotional guy, so maybe he was just really bummed about missing the rest of the game after finally getting healthy, but I’m not so sure.

Re: Injuries (UC Davis game update)
It was a textbook hip-drop tackle. The type the NFL is penalizing and fining people over. It was good to see Davis get up and move after.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 9:05 pmBrody and Rohan are good to go!

On the bright side, we probably won’t need some of these guys the next game we play either.

Scottre was busting some moves during Mony Mony lol. A couple weeks off will be good for everyone after today.SparkCat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:19 pmRohan is seen jumping around like a mad man after the game. Scottre I think is still precautionary-ish. I feel bad for Julius but he was also moving around on the side lines quite a bit. Although, Jones sat out the one game, he seems extremely durable. Coon also get yards when it counts.

Does anybody know what's going on with Elliot? He was hurt almost 2 1/2 months ago and we haven't heard a thing, unless I missed something. He seems to have been moving just fine today, jumping around, dancing walking fine. Would be great to get him back, especially if Scottre and Davis can't go for awhile.

I think there's another 22 on defense. I saw that, too, but I don't think it was Scottre. Could be wrong.nanacat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 9:36 pmScottre was busting some moves during Mony Mony lol. Re: Injuries (UC Davis game update)
One of our other injuries was the same thing. I’d have to watch the replays to find it again. Brody’s first block right into his knee was as intentional as could be. It got flagged, but there were plenty others that did not. It wasn’t coincidental. Do they practice that stuff? They all seem to be pretty good at recognizing the situation and inflicting the damage. I’m sure Coach Vigen was fully aware, but I don’t know if he has any steps toward a remedy. Along with the typical leg-twisting and the second defender diving onto helmets Robby-style on out of bounds plays, they seemed more willing to go after the big stuff this year.profisme wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 9:13 pmIt was a textbook hip-drop tackle. Watch the game on a big hi-def screen and it’ll make you sick.

I am 95% sure that was Scottre. He was standing with Julius. The big smile is hard to miss. They were enjoying Adam’s long run.nanacat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 11:43 pmWas Scottre in street clothes, because I was sure the 22 i saw looked like him. Yep. No doubt that Beavis preaches it and practices it year in and year out. The bad part is that the BSC officials are the ones that should be on top of this crap but they are inept at best.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 1:56 amOne of our other injuries was the same thing. As someone else pointed out, it was a classic hip drop tackle.

I’m pretty sure he’s had a brace on his left knee, so that one on his right is likely new. Damn….i was hoping it was a mild high ankle.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 11:03 amDavis wearing a knee brace in this pic…. Which is not what I want to see…..

Re: Injuries (UM game update)
So what’s the deal with Jared White? Has he just fallen out of favor or is he dealing with something injuries as well?
2 years ago he seemed like our next guy to take off at RB, then in comes Scottre and Davis last year and he fell down the depth chart, and now this year with the emergence of Jones and Coon he’s fallen even more. I was expecting him to get some carries yesterday after we were down our top 2 guys, but he didn’t get a touch.

Re: Injuries (UM game update)
When he got tackled on that play, the replay on TV showed him grabbing the right knee as he went down. Didn't really look that bad but something definitely happened.wbtfg wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2024 11:15 amI’m pretty sure he’s had a brace on his left knee, so that one on his right is likely new. Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Davis had been wearing a brace in his return at Davis. But a double brace probably isn’t good. Damnit.
Regardless, it’s really to see him smiling big and holding the Big Sky trophy. Love it!
