Mercyhurst is going on the road today to play Division II Wheeling University. If you have the desire to watch this game over NDSU/Colorado I would strongly suggest reconsidering your priorities and being happy to let the coaching staff handle the scouting of future opponents!
I have the capability to watch more than one game at once. I watch future opponents to see what kind of talent they have, not to provide scouting for the team.

I'm sure everyone knows there is college football on TV today. Most eyes will be on the NDSU-Colorado game but a future Bobcat opponent, Mercyhurst, is playing today too. I'm sure everyone is worried about Mercyhurst possibly tripping up the Cats, LOL, but you might want to put their game on just for fun and to see what kind of talent they have.
I don’t see where that’s listed to watch. My ESPN app doesn’t say that it’s on ESPN+
It's being streamed here.

The fact that this system puts Villanova AND South Dakota over us proves it's pretty illegitimate in my mind. Although maybe it favors data from the current season, in which case it wouldn't be very useful until at least a couple weeks into the season.

First and goal, clock winding down. That's Humphrey! It's TOUCHDOWN MONTANA STATE!

Two other games with future opponents to potentially watch or scout for the coaches, if anyone is interested.

Watching the Mercyhurst game and both teams have scored on their opening drives. The Mercyhurst QB is all of 5-9, at least according to the roster, but he looks a bit shorter on TV. :D The QB has a nice arm though and they have a decent size TE to throw to. The QB played for Brandon Hayashi, former Bobcat, at Citrus JC in California for two years. The Mercyhurst defense was pretty bad on the first drive.

I think Mercyhurst will be a little more impressed by the facilities and crowd at Bobcat Stadium than they are seeing at Div2 Wheeling.

Yep. Both teams have actually showed some flashes, some good players..... but it's really hard to tell how good they are with the lower level of competition.

I thought the TE/WR, that seems to always line up wide, and that 6-6 WR are their only real weapons. Their running game is mediocre but their QB is scrappy and throws a good ball. I have no real worries with these guys, just fun to watch what they have.

Close game down to the wire. Mercyhurst 28 - Wheeling 25. Wheeling is a div2 team.

Wait, wait, wait….. there were some posters (won’t name names) who were very adamant that Valdez is over rated and would never start for Washington…. This depth chart can’t be accurate!

Ha. On a serious note though, all this does is piss me off. These guys should still be with the cats. The portal F’ing blows.

The only production we wont pick up is Valdez. Im fine with the OL losses. Plus, we have some STUDS that we got out of the portal. I think we've gained a lot more than we have lost from the portal.

Broken record here but MSU is an OL manufacturing MACHINE! Think about the OL players we've had here the past few years. So just this season you take those two players out of the mix above, and also take out Perkins and Reid (temporarily), shuffle things around on the OL with the players we have that are healthy, then go up against an FBS team and put up 380 yards rushing. We are very fortunate.

Marcus Wehr won't win the Big Sky Offensive MVP award, but he probably should. I was rewatching the game the other evening paying attention to what he was doing on every play and it was absolute dominance. I have to wonder if he stays at RG even after JT Reed is healthy enough to return.
