McGhee was better his first two years. Lulay was right with him the third year and was better his senior year partially due to McGhee being injured. Lulay was better at the end but the full body of work as a college quarterback has me siding with McGhee.
I think fans forget how talented of a passer Denarius was. Lulay was a gamer but Denarius was the closest thing we had to a draftable QB at MSU. He could make all the throws.
Game on the line, I’m going Lulay 100% of the time. Denarius probably was a more complete qb, but Lulay had that magic.
That reminds me, not to derail the thread but one of my most painful memories in Bobcat stadium (2nd to THE snatching defeat from the jaws of victory that shall not be named), was losing to EWU in like triple OT... but I can't remember if we lost it on O or D? Anyway, that was Lulay.
One of the worst memories! It was Erik Meyer completing the same route to Eric Kimble. We couldn’t stop it.

Fire up the GC questions. Thorny will be back next week, so I can't read the twitter stuff.

If Tommy is out for an extended period of time (into October) what do you think our offense looks like?

Edited the timeline of my question for a more significant absence.

Over/Under: 1.5 100 yard games for any receiver this season? Hoping the offense develops enough to take the over…

How many running backs transfer out if the QB's keep getting all of the carries? How many WR's transfer out if we never throw the ball?

They talked about it in a previous podcast but I'm shocked that Elijah Elliot is still here. Dude is loyal and I love him for it!

I feel like he would have been great mixed in at SDSU being more of a slasher than the others. Power is great but sometimes you need that guy to make people miss. We really need to get the ball in Marqui's hands as well on O, as others have mentioned.

My coolie question: why wasn't our RB stable not used on Saturday night?

Maybe the best exchange of the most recent episode:

@Common Cat : Anything else?
@TomCat88 : On Stetson?!

Thorny is back. Fire the questions up for the week leading to Weber.

Do you think the coaches are hiding more creative plays until they absolutely need them? If so, what constitutes a "must-win" game? If not, then why not play a few of our cards early?

Can the Cats win the National Championship without Tommy?

I know he will be back. But, history says he will likely be injured again at some point this season. He has finished 1 out of 4 of the meetings with the DSU's.

Now that we're through the non-conference schedule, what do you predict the Cats' conference record will be?

You are the coach.

Do you still run plays where Tommy lines up in the backfield or wide out or do you just play him as QB?
With his injury history and our talent at the RB position I wonder if it's necessary risk.

Is your gameplan 60-40 run/pass like last game or do you revert to the more traditional Bobcat gameplan and go 80-20 run/pass ratio?

I definitely enjoyed listening to Zach fill in. He's got a good voice for radio

Why can we never have a dominating offense and a dominating defense at the same time?!? It feels like whenever our defense is really good, our offense lags behind (think 2021) When our offense starts to hum, our defense takes a step back (2022). Do you think this could be the year?
