If Banks was still the DC this score would look a lot different. Yes the players are different but the scheme is atrocious. 21 through 3 quarters against a decent Pac12 team is a good offensive showing. We'd still be within in striking distance with Banks.

I don't agree, i don't think. The last team we played with this good of an oline and this much offensive talent was ndsu, and they could have hung 70 on us if they wanted to. We need work, no doubt, this has been ugly but i think it's as much Johnnys vs joes at it is x and os.

NDSU ran the ball at will. The run D has actually been pretty good. We never had such ugly coverage breakdowns where there was nobody within 10 yards of a receiver under Banks. The holes in the zone look like the Ash years against Eastern.

We're running the same 4 2 5 scheme as we ran last year.

I'm going to agree that it's ugly, obviously, but I'll be more concerned if we look this bad against ewu next week. Tons of big holes but tons of short fields and sudden change also.

Right. We got dominated by their oline and were committed to stopping the run and playing off their receivers. They picked it apart and we didn't adjust. But we had no, and i mean zero, pass rush either. Don't think that's scheme as much as a young dline against a pac 12 oline.
