I think we'll see quite a few more scouts at pro day. That will really help Hardy and Kidd.

That guy wasn't a SHSU homer, just sadly misinformed. Ezzard didn't participate in the Combine but Troy's 40 time would've been tied for 11th out of the 32 WRs who did participate.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Sat Mar 05, 2022 9:17 pmWhat was Ezzard's time from Sam Houston? Can we officially call the SHSU homer guy from the playoff game broadcast and tell him that TA was in fact the fastest man on the field?![]()

But Troy didn't get to play wr....maybe he should have. I thought we'd see him run the wheel out of the backfield more.

I’m gonna go with 4.43 for Troy. Which would be a stupid crazy number.

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Montana State's Derrick Olsen's best time of 2022 in the 60 Meters is 6.86. MSU record in the 60 meters is shared by Chris Wilson and Skip Gunlickson at 6.84. Eighth place at the Big Sky Championships in the 60 Meters was 6.94. Any of you track guys know what a good predictor of what a guy running a 4.42 40 yard might run in a 60 M?

A 40y time of 4.42 would be a 60m time of 7.18
40 yards equals 1440 inches and a 60m has 2340. divide your 40 time by 1440 and multiply by 2340. your time will probably be a little quicker than what you get from that equation.

It would definitely be quicker because you would be at full speed for the last 900 inches

Troy would still be full speed for the last 900. I, on the other hand, would be slowing down dramatically after the first 20 yds.

Wow...get him on your team and figure out the rest later!
Unfortunately, several followers of the Griz "anti-Troy" cult have told me he is overrated due to one bad play in the most recent Cat-Griz game (a game where he was exceptional actually other than that play) and his rawness in taking on blocks and reading plays quick enough. The thing is...he's actually incredibly underrated still. A whole lot of stuff to still be developed as a defender. Troy is so talented because he still can get by even he makes a mistake due to the athleticism. When it all comes together, he has a shot at being a Brian Urlacher or Luke Kuechly type player. I really hope the kid stays healthy because he has a chance at being the greatest football player to ever come out of Montana before it's all said and done. Every person from the state should be rooting for him. I understand not cheering on your rival during the season. But if a Montana kid makes it to the pros, what is off in your brain if you don't want that kid to succeed (I've also had Cat fans not cheer on Griz players)? I've cheered on countless numbers of Griz who have made the pros who are from this state. Enjoy the ride people!

I enjoy the thread on egriz pertaining to Troy. Some are still saying 5th to 6th round for Troy.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 10:31 am

It’s not all of them but it’s so funny that some refuse to see what’s in front of their eyes simply because Troy is a Cat. Some of them are going to be pretty surprised I guess come there NFL draft!

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
I read some of the comments at that cesspool. A few seem to believe that Dante Olson is still the better LB and the Troy will flame out on the NFL becaose he isn’t talented enough. Injuries, sure, that could happen, but if there is an Internet football fanbase that knows less about football than egriz, I’ve yet to find it. Reminds me of the Gris fan on this site who was bragging about that terrible backup QB they had, and how Hauck wasn’t starting him as a favor to Dalton Sneed for reasons that made zero sense to anyone that isn’t delusional Gris fan.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 10:31 am

Here is something to consider which gives a ridiculously fast result.Rich K wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 8:18 amMontana State's Derrick Olsen's best time of 2022 in the 60 Meters is 6.86. Troys splits were:
10m: 1.56s
20m: 2.58s
40: 4.42s
If he ran the next 20 m at the same pace he ran from 20m to 40m, his 60m time would be 6.26s.
One caveat is that the 40m dash is self started whereas the 60m in track is a reaction to the starters gun which will always give a slower result.
It would be worth the price of admission to watch Troy compete in the 60m.

Those splits are in yards. 60 m is 65+ yards.rivercat wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 11:50 amHere is something to consider which gives a ridiculously fast result.Rich K wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 8:18 amMontana State's Derrick Olsen's best time of 2022 in the 60 Meters is 6.86. Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Any idea why the combine didn't post troy bench press, and the shuttle times? Did he not compete in those areas or?
And I'd stl rather see troy go in 3rd round and out perform expectations than go #47 and disappoint.

Well that explains it. Shame on me for not keeping my units consistent. Troy did not do the bench press or shuttles. Looking at the official NFL results only 7 of the LBs did the bench press and 4 did the 20-yard shuttle.Montanabob wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:01 pmAny idea why the combine didn't post troy bench press, and the shuttle times? If Troy had played for the griz, their 'fans' would be screaming that he should be the #1 overall pick.
