The first one is Monroe.
If you have Instagram, they're all tagged in it. Makes it easier if you're like me and can't recognize anybody.
I knew the first guy was a new transfer because he isn't wearing the team issued UA cleats.
Monroe isn't a new transfer. Signed out of high school in the 2019 Recruiting Class.

It’s Tua Areta. He is a bit of a project. I believe he came in at 385(?). He could barely finish wind sprints. Heard he couldn’t bench 200 when he got here.
According to his bio he’s was named the program’s Young Gun last year. Majors in mechanical engineering.

It is 315 which is fine. Kevin Donovan told me that his all pro brother (I think that is his brother) for the Cowboys only benched 275.

Pat Donovan.

That's good info to have. I was thinking 315 isn't that impressive. While it's certainly not bad, it doesn't seem like something a program ought to make a big deal out of. It's only an impressive lift if you know his background. Without that info, knowing that he is (or used to be) 385, that's an average at best max bench. Nothing to be ashamed of, but nothing for a Division I football program to be celebrating. A little context is definitely helpful.

Everyone should probably keep in mind Tua played against Cal Poly last year and held his own against a stiff running game. Imagine how better he'll be as he continues to develop that upper body strength. Super glad Tua is developing!

Amen. I love it for him personally and his physical development and for the Bobcats. Again, just seems like a weird post when you don't know the back-story.

I was thinking he was looking pretty trim compared to last year. Anyone know how much he has lost?

the guy is just a monster... if he can turn some that size into more strength, better conditioning, while learning how to play the position the next couple years... look out. definitely a project... but holy crap does he have major upside.

This is the thing I love most about the culture Choate has developed. These guys love each other. These guys are pulling for each other. These guys want each other to succeed! I believe Tua is the guy who was struggling last year on conditioning drills. Sterk held back and ran with him encouraging him all the way. That is leadership, teamwork and family. What a remarkable turnaround from where we were 6 years ago.

Hanser looking like a dude for a receiver.
Too bad they never played him. Although they rarely played any receivers beyond Kassis and Jonsen

They actually played quite a few receivers. They rotated a lot. We just didn't throw the ball that much/very well.
