I started reading this thread and stopped after the first couple pages. Lots of talk about Bison Fans being the biggest assholes on the net. I hope you guys and gals get a chance to come to fargo and go through the tailgate. You won't find a more welcoming fanbase. Don't believe me just ask fans of other visiting teams (less the goofballs from the Community College in Elforko Grande). Congrats on the first round win and safe travels for those who do come to the game. Hope you have a good time regardless of the outcome and hope to have a few Bobcat fans rethink their attitude towards Bison fans. To the rest I'll lose no sleep if you don't.

I'm sure the majority of Bison fans are great folks. I seem to run into a lot of folks wearing bison gear in my travels and have always been able to have good conversations with them. Glad you are part of this forum, having folks from other fan bases show up always makes for a great week.BisonBacker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 11:24 amI started reading this thread and stopped after the first couple pages. As an aside for others, I bumped a thread in the smack forum which, in my opinion, is a classic. Lets give the mods a break and keep the attitudes there.

Your school has been able to maintain stability and continuity while that institution I received my bachelors at, MSU, experienced several years of constant turmoil and the entire school was in financial trouble. Fortunately, our Board of Regents made one of the most incredible hires this state has ever made in the person of Waded Cruzado. She does not accept excuses. Very result oriented and not afraid to bring another in who will bring about desired results.
This game on December 1, 2018 will provide a great measuring stick as to whether or not Waded and her committee made the correct hire for the representative and first impression of our institution. Just as that Bobcat team of 1976 had to beat the Bison not just once but twice and still many felt they'd get their arses handed to them by Akron, they made believers out of this state.
I don't have a crystal ball and don't really have much more than a passing interest in the teams playing anymore other than they are grandchildren of some of my college classmates. Those kids wearing the Blue and Gold this year reminds me an awful lot of the "kids" on that 76 team in their overall demeanor and conduct on the field. Off the field seems to be a bit better, in my opinion as I've not heard anything about the "Thursday Night Social Club."
One thing I can guarantee about this year's Bobcat football team is that they play MSU Bobcat football. For the first time this year, yesterday I did not see a single dropped pass! I saw visions of a crazy red head from Westby out on the edge on defense and the secondary looked more than ready. I personally look forward to the trip to Fargo and a rather large family reunion. We'll even welcome those relatives who went to UND and Missoula--as long as they keep their mouths shut.
See you there. You won't be able to miss me. I'll be wearing blue and gold.

Re: I’m calling it right now, we beat NDSU in round 2!
DOesn't seem that long ago that we hosted NDSU in the playoffs right here in BOzeman. I remember I was eating breakfast out and a bunch of NDSU fans came in and we had lots of fun conversing with them. Really a great bunch of folks.
I think we may have been favored in that game but as I recall NDSU unleashed a powerful running game that we could not stop and they won, rather decisively I think (I'm too lazy to look this up right now.) In any event, we didn't stay "on top" very long, and NDSU soared to the top big time.
I really think our program is headed in the right direction. It will be interesting to see just how we fare next Saturday. I personally think that we have improved a lot since we lost some lopsided games early on, like to SDSU.
You never know. For example, remember a few years ago when UM whipped NDSU during the regular season, then NDSU waxed them in the playoffs. How do you explain that? Upsets do happen. Obviously, we have to play a perfect game with no turnovers. But that's why you play the games and not just on paper.
Go Cats!

Especially the ones who still wear their Fighting Sioux gear, they catch hell for sure. In fact, I need to get them some fighting chicken hawk clothes on the way over Friday. Have a good week and see y'all Saturday, roads willing.BizonProud wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 12:22 pmYou bet, and I'll buy the first round! Good to see someone who can take a little ribbing! Ps... might want to let some of the relatives know that sioux and griz fans aren't allowed in Fargo!Cat Grad wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 11:43 amSeveral years ago when I was young and what seems like yesterday now, your school and the school I watched and admired had annual games and my many relatives from the Dakotas would come to the Gallatin Valley for hunting Thanksgiving Weekend and the good natured ribbing was taught to me.BizonProud wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 11:01 amLet me get this straightCledus wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 10:40 amIt wasn't all that long ago griz fans sounded just like you. Granted, they never had the success the NDSU program has enjoyed. If MSU had the success NDSU has had I'd be damn proud, too. But if you want to see how the circle comes back around, look no further than missoula.BizonProud wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 10:37 amHahahaha......what a joke! Hit in the mouth with what? Your pretend indignity? Face the facts junior, your season ends shortly! Bank on it!DriscollCat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 24, 2018 11:24 pmI could give two s***s what they think about a buy out years ago. If it wasn’t in the contract, it wouldn’t have happened. Get ready to get hit in the mouth ndsu. You are comparing beating the Griz this year to playing against the Bison?? Nope, sorry doesn't work for anyone who knows anything about football. End of your discussion.

Dude you need to step away from the keyboard for awhile. That was my first post in this thread!91catAlum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 11:28 amThanks for the sudden change in your tone. If you look back honestly at your other posts just in this thread, you should be able to understand why everyone thinks you are online jerks. I'm sure the fans in Fargo are good people.BisonBacker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 11:24 amI started reading this thread and stopped after the first couple pages.
