Let's face it - NDSU is a Top 20 FBS team. Maybe even a Top 15. They're that solid & consistent.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 12:45 pmNDSU has build a program that is actually hard to believe. They are playing like a top 20 FBS team right now. I'm not saying it's impossible for MSU to keep in close but IMO it would require some HUGE breaks, like they're QB and maybe a few other key players getting ejected, or 5+ fluke turnovers for us, etc.
However, they will not overmatch us at every position, whether they believe that or not. They do not have a Troy Anderson at QB. They do not have an athlete like Jonsen on their entire roster. They do not have a true frosh RB like we have.
They also have not dismantled a legacy FCS program who is their bitter rival like the Bobcats have done to the dark pink fags. In fact, last time NDSU played the jizz I don't think things went too well for them.

They met a second time in 2015 in the playoffs and NDSU did to them pretty much what you’d expect.FTG_1984 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 7:58 amLet's face it - NDSU is a Top 20 FBS team. Lakesbison - Thanks for joining us. Good to hear your perspectives. Let's face it, your program is the envy of all FCS (and much of FBS) and your boys will be at least 20-point favorites next week. Is there a mathematical chance we can win? Of course. Is it likely? Of course not. But we are just as proud of our boys as you are of yours so please forgive a little hubris on our board.
Keep up the chat. Keep it classy. Let's enjoy the build up to the game.

Seems to be a lot of emotion around the buyout and seeking revenge. That might not play out like anticipated.

The buyout will be irrelevant to the game on Saturday, as every single player who will be on the field was in high school or in some cases middle school when it happened. It'll be the subject for plenty of talk from message board loudmouths who still can't let it go five years after the fact, but that's the extent of it.

For the record, it was in February 2012. Almost 7 years ago.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:32 amThe buyout will be irrelevant to the game on Saturday, as every single player who will be on the field was in high school or in some cases middle school when it happened. Um, you do realize that MSU and NDSU are on the same side of the divide, right? SO they are around 20-1 at home in December. They just do not lose at home this time of year.
However - I do think it would be good for the Cats to win at home this weekend, and goto Fargo and play those guys. Even if we got thumped, the team would be better prepared for a deeper run next year if they've seen and experienced a road game at Fargo.
True that. Haha, they weren't eligible to play in the playoffs till 2008.

Hi Bobcat fans! Nice win yesterday. I thought both UIW and Lamar, although losing, represented the Southland well. The CAA sure stunk it up.
The game day weather in Fargo this Saturday looks to be 30 degrees, 13 mph winds and 70% chance of precip. The number of tailgating rigs will definitely be off from Sep and Oct, but you will find many heated tents. Stop in say hi. You will be treated fine. My wife went to the playoff game in Bozeman in 2010 and was treated well.

Well at least he spelled bizon correctly, give him credit! And, he's right about another thing, he's an idiot. I'm super impressed with their program, but i truly think I'd rather talk football with grizzly fans. I know we very likely won't win, and very likely will get beaten pretty soundly, but boy it'd be sweet to hear the howling.91catAlum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:56 amThe "idiots over the divide" are the griz, you ding dong.BizonProud wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:35 amThis post has made it's way over to a couple of our sites. Nope, was thinking he was talking about the FCS divide which for us runs a mile North, South, East, and West of Fargo.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:52 amUm, you do realize that MSU and NDSU are on the same side of the divide, right? Haha, after next week you and the Griz fans will have a number of open monthes to talk football. And you should be able to hear quite a bit of howling from your own sidelines after about the first quarter.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 10:02 amWell at least he spelled bizon correctly, give him credit!
