Furman QB in the portal.
This is getting ridiculous.

Head scratcher here. No disrespect intended, but he's not better than FCS.
Utah went into this season as returning Pac 12 champs and a competitive Rose Bowl appearance without a single medically cleared QB on scholarship. I cant imagine thats super common, but Huff would clearly have had a backup spot there.

But even more than that, he reminds me of Isaiah Ifanse. Dudes been at Furman for 5 years, he's 22 or 23. Probably wants to get a graduate degree from somewhere else.

MSU should offer him. He's tough as Tommy Mellot & a better passer (but slower). Seems like he would be a really good fit for what MSU is trying to do in its 2 QB system.
He is not a better passer than Tommy. He has an average arm and doesn’t see the field as good as Tommy. We all saw what Tommy is capable of when they let him throw the ball. Adding this guy or offering this guywould make zero sense for MSU.

If your left, you aren’t right.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Tommy best do a lot of passing next year and very little running. We need a full year from him.

I fully expect Al Johnson to bring in some OL depth from Wisconsin in the coming weeks and months.

He averaged 9.5 carries per game, and that includes scrambles. If he doesn’t run, it severely limits his impact.

Is that based on any kind of info or are you assuming he will because that’s where he came from?
It would make sense, just curious where you’re coming from.

Right. It's a huge part of his game and what makes him so special. The way he runs, instincts to find the hole, tough as nails, shifty, hard to bring down, and fast as hell. Yes I hole my breath every time he takes off but he's one of the most electric players in the FCS and you can't not run him at least a few times a game.

Cats just better have a QB that’s ready to make some starts. Tommy has yet finished a season without being injured sometimes more than once throughout the season, so just hope cats got someone either in the portal or in house who if thrown in, like Chambers, where the cats aren’t dropping off too much in talent and capability.

Nope. Just an assumption that we'll take a look there for some replacements.

A reminder that Al Johnson was the RB coach at Wisconsin. Not sure how close he was with those players.

Absolutely critical. Would be an incredible stroke of luck if TM somehow played the entire year next year without having to sit out some games with injury.

This is getting ridiculous.

This one doesn't seem as bad to me situation wise. Grad transfer existed before the portal.
Agree. If you have graduated …. I don’t have as sour taste in my mouth as all the other craziness.

Given his prior tenure at Wisconsin, will Offensive Line Coach Al Johnson stay for another year with the Bobcats?

Rush Reimer just got an offer from Texas Tech, as did Omar last week. Would be interesting if they both ended up at the same FBS school...
I think they both got offers from Purdue as well.
Rush's other known offers include Kansas State, Boise St, Oregon St, and Purdue.

Both those 2 are gonna make bank.

Really? Thank you for sticking by my side, now I'm outta here? Unbreakable bond??? Talk about empty words.

I am really struggling with this portal thing. Be patient with me. I'll eventually adapt.

These guys are so full of shjt.
Some of you just outright embarrass yourselves throwing little fits over guys transferring. Calling them “full of shjt” is something I’m betting you won’t do with your name attached to it.

No…. Just my opinion (which many share, including past players, journalists, coaches, etc.). With the post above, I’m just callin a spade a spade. Sorry if that offends you.
