One of the great things about having such a stacked, talented, and deep roster with minimal portal losses (and such a small graduating class) is the Cats can mostly just look at 'best availible' talent.

Since there are only a few minor holes in the projected 2 deep (DB...maybe DL) then if a total stud pops up in the portal, great. Take a swing. But theres not a lot of need to do anything other than find any great football player that would be a good match for the culture.

Enjoy. Not too many teams at any level get to feel this good about their roster going into the next season.

An even bigger deal is - we will develop you to play and not bring in 20 portal players.

I like it. Of course multiple injuries at key positions could derail things but my current prediction is we head into the brawl with one loss, of course win the brawl to secure a top 2 seed. Also would love to beat NDSU and SDSU in the playoffs, and would be epic to get another Cat Griz 2 but I think that's a pipe dream.

I'm not sure, I'm not totally sure if that committee looks at things like this. I mean, I don't think they're going to make decisions based on who might bring the most fans to Nashville, but I could be wrong? Does everyone agree they got it right this year with MSU and ISU being the two best teams o the country? Of course they probably thought, like the rest of the country, that is was MSU and NDSU. So if we assume MSU is clearly going to be the #1 team in the country, which I do believe, then you have to assume the #2 will come out of the MVC. All that said, if the Griz end up being a contender next year (They'll probably be top ten but not sniffing the top 4 IMO), I'd be perfectly fine with them on the other side of the bracket.

Yes, the portal closed yesterday. It will remain open for players at Miami and Indiana through the 24th, and then open up for teams with coaching changes as they happen.

I've heard he was one of the people that kicked in a bunch of $$ to force the issue of getting Bobby back... so now that a lot of Griz Nation is seeing that Bobby is never going to win it all unless MSU and the DSU's aren't around..... they're all in, screwed, and they know it. Even if that's not true, one thing I've noticed about his posts is he thinks he knows a lot about football, and the inside of the Cat and Griz programs, and always rips the Cats and puts the Griz on top. On the rare occasion he's right, he brags it up and acts like he's a genius. Then when he's wrong, which is usually the case, he plays the, "I'm just putting on this schtick to get under the skin of Cat fans... I'm totally playing you." card. Total douche move.
