Kinda wish we'd see a few more "I'm staying" posts. Thinking no news is likely good news but still. Just saw Gillman posted he's staying in grizland. Happy about Taco for sure, as well as Carr, but I remember last year, after a bunch portal jumped, a whole pile of Cats posted that they were staying. That just made everyone feel better. Of course last year was alot different than this year since we lost so many seniors too. Maybe after the team meeting Wednesday.

One of the biggest wastes of time you can have as a Bobcat fan is discussing the reasons why a player left and the school he chose. I know we all think Bozeman and MSU are the best places in the world and why would anyone leave, especially for a program/location that objectively has a lot less going for it, but it doesn't matter. It's best just to accept it and move on, wish them the best if that's your thing.

I had the opposite feeling. We'll know soon enough.

Fans might not want to believe it but we have at least 4-5 players turning down a substantial amount of money if they stay. Taco's offers were ridiculous.

Just like with Taco, I see no way Adam leaves. Based on what the program means to him and his leadership and the growth he's gone through in the last two years, there's no reason to believe he's going to jump. Maybe a <1% chance but that's it.

The delay on announcements is certainly bizarre. Wednesday meeting may be the trigger but why the dragging out of the inevitable? You'd think after Taco and Lamson the gates would've opened but instead we get an ambiguous IG post from Jones.

That's because there hasn't been any incoming portal movement at this time. I wouldn't expect much either, right now there just aren't many open spots on the roster to fill.

I don't think anyone's acting like they are owed anything, we're all just a little jumpy about the portal and hoping no more big names enter. As you say it's entirely reasonable for a player to simply say nothing if they intend to return.

Agreed. Unless a player from MT says he's leaving just assume he's staying. That's the way it's always been and we should assume it stays that way until someone actually leaves. I always assumed Taco and Adam were the two guys that would never leave and they'd be the ones (along with Caden) to keep everyone together.
