If Coach Vigen is doing his normal Monday press conference today I look forward to finding out absolutely nothing specific whatsoever about Caden's injury! And that is of course how it should be, don't give Illinois State any more info than you have to.
"If the game were tomorrow, Caden would be ruled out. Since we have two weeks before we play, the hope is that Caden can get to the point where he'll play and be able to make an impact." Something like that...

Currently, in the basement of Montana Hall, off the Northeast side and through the secret door to the steam tunnels, the coaches are meeting and the following is brewing..."Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the college of engineering working to make the world's first bionic Cathand for a man. Caden Dowler will be that man. Better than he was before. Better... stronger... faster" :-^

I watched the game again and he did not look like he was in much pain and seemed to be moving both arms on the sidelines afterwards but he might have been given a lidocaine injection right away so hard to say..if it was a bad shoulder injury seems like he would have had it wrapped to his body.
It’s definitely a wrist injury, you can see the moment it happens he grabs at his wrist (1st play of the second drive, tackle on Gillman). And he also most likely wouldn’t take the sling off at all if it was a shoulder injury.
are you saying @60's Cat is wrong? his post says he talked to Caden's grandmother and she told him it was his shoulder? either way I hope it is nothing too bad..
I’m saying I watched the replay a handful of times and it looked pretty obvious what he was grabbing. Maybe it was deceiving, or maybe I’m just wrong, but I’ll be surprised if it’s revealed to be something other than a wrist injury.
watching the re-play he may have injured his wrist or just grabbed his wrist to stabilize his shoulder. regardless I hope it is not too sever. Seems like a wrist he could play in two weeks with a club but shoulder probably not...
Please DO NOT use the term sever when talking about injuries

Speaking of Caden. His instagram story a couple days ago about the hit and celebration on Taco and then tacos revenge on #10 was awesome. Didn’t mince words.

I love all the speculation…”The sideline reporter” lol… Let’s go with grandma’s version. I had also heard wrist but ran into Rylan Schlepp later that night at the Club Grill at the Grand Tree. I asked how Cadens wrist was and he said and I quote “ It wasn’t his wrist, he dislocated his shoulder.” Whether or not he plays is unknown.

I had heard wrist from a reliable source and posted it on Twitter. The sideline reporter (Dawn) from ABC either said it wasn’t his wrist or that it was his shoulder during the game.

When someone is hurt there’s always speculation about what it is. It’s just human nature imo. But you have to leave room for whatever you hear to be wrong.

There’s a doctor on YouTube that can tell what an injury is by watching happen on replays.

This is speculation and doesn’t change anything, but I think Caden‘s injury came, unfortunately from friendly fire. It happens, someone comes in to finish off a tackle and oh crap.

Ya, it's tough to say EXACTLY when it happened during the play, but there is zero question it happened on this play, at the 15:30 mark.

I was just re-listening to Keaton's cast of the game (https://www.youtube.com/live/leStqE203kw) and as the injury happens Dan Davies on the sideline says that it is a shoulder injury, so unfortunately that's more evidence for it being a shoulder injury.

FWIW, Coach Vigen just stated on FCS Checkdown that Caden is not ruled out. Has some healing to do and they will evaluate this week.

Even if he has to split time with Petre, man he deserves to play in this game

This is pretty good news, although we knew this is probably what Vigen was going to say regardless. He just said something like, I know he'll do everything he can to be on that field, so that's probably the reality of what's going to happen.

Is it worth watching? I have listened to them in the past and ‘Coach Jackson’ seems to be more negative on the Cats than most Gris fans.
