Dane Steel

Post by RyeCat » Mon Dec 22, 2025 1:51 pm

Does he regularly come out on defense in certain packages or just yesterday because we’re so thin? It was definitely him that scooped and score they called back, right? He also got credited with a tackle yesterday and three in Missoula.

He's on special teams as well, haven't seen him in on D. It was Cole Taylor that got the TD called back.

I don't believe he's played a defensive snap. He's made quite a few tackles on ST's.

I don’t know about Dane steel, but his brother is a safety.

It was Cole Taylor that had the scoop and score called back.

Are you sure it wasn't Brock Steel? He's listed as a LB.... younger brother

I understand this thread started by a misunderstanding, but we should turn it into a Dane Steel appreciation thread.

I propose a petition to annex Sheridan WY, those Steel kids are as much Montanan as I am.

Wasn't the hit from Seth Johnson?

THIS!!!

He has been nails all year long. Scored the TD vs gris back in November and then made a momentum-saving tackle on the ensuing kickoff. He does it all!

Dane Steel is an absolute stud. Fearless over the middle. Great hands! And a stud on special teams. Love this kid!

Oh I'm going to highlight a lot of our January-April discussions on this team when the season wraps. Not really to highlight bad takes but to highlight players who stepped up in big ways.

My sentiments exactly. When he makes a reception, going to make those who try to tackle him pay! Enjoy watching him punish people who dare to come near him.

Steel is also sneaky strong, and does a great job of running through a tackle.

Sam Lecholat from there was a pretty salty MBB player the last several years too! I second your annexation motion! All in favor say “AYE”.
