Did anyone catch the backhanded "compliment" Bobby gave the Cats at the beginning of his post-game presser?

"I think he (Vigen) and the coaching staff here got the absolute most out of the talent they have on that football team. I'm impressed with the coaching job they did."

Such a Bobby thing to do...taking a swipe at the talent level of the team that just beat them. That is going to go over well with future in-state recruits. Smh.
So if you’ve never toured the BAC the media room where they do post game press interviews is on the second floor sorta above the locker room. I’m guessing the Cats did their interviews first, than the gris did theirs. So as Bobby is talking if you listen close you can hear them doing Stand Up and Cheer below. 😆😆. Bobby has to listen to the victory celebration while discussing his loss.
The visiting team always does their interview first as they need to travel back home and wouldn't want to wait around for interviews longer than necessary.
While true during regular season play the team that did not win will go first, but it is protocol for championships/postseason that the winner go first.

The team that did not win usually needs more time to collect themselves before facing the media and the winners need to get the availability done so they can go celebrate with their teammates.

Then logically that makes him the bad coach for inferring that he didn’t get very much out of his extremely high-level of talent
Wonder if Denny caught that!

Who was that speaking?
Jordan Tripp
Wowza. I know he knows a ton about football. But, that comment makes me think he didn’t watch a single snap of Bobcat football.
Well, it doesn’t really matter because they stopped neither!

Specific to the post season, the NCAA changed its policy over the last couple of seasons and has the visiting team going first.

I never saw this a couple years ago. Interesting to watch how much the younger AY moves like his dad.

I also love watching this in combination with the famous Joe Roberts interception from 1984, which went towards the same end zone in a stadium that looked very, very different than it does today. I spent a lot of Saturdays back in the '90s freezing my ass off in those old rickety bleachers they had back there.

I stand corrected... but it does look like for the NCAA basketball tournament winners still go first

Was there a 50-50 for the Super Brawl? If so how big was it?

What happened in the 4th??? Total Domination!
Yeah, I'm not sure what he's talking about. It was actually the 1st and 4th quarters that we dominated. It was 7-7 in the 3rd, 21-0 in the 4th.
Changed the headline, didn't mean for stanzas to imply quarters, that's my fault. It was a game of thirds. 20-20-20. That's what I mean.
You're absolutely right about that. It was most definitely a game of thirds, and it was split up almost exactly into three 20-20-20 minute segments. MSU 20-3 in the first 20, UM 20-0 in the middle 20, and MSU 28-0 in the final 20. Almost like a hockey game, rather than a football game. When UM went up 23-20, I didn't actually say this to my buddy sitting next to me, but I was thinking "I can't believe we're gonna lose this game, after being up 20-3". This team just seems to be on a mission. I think all the coaches and players know they let one slip away last year against NDSU, that they should have won that game, and they're not going to let anything get in the way of closing the deal this time.

I do think some fans and some in the media may be underestimating Illinois State. It's obviously pretty impressive to win four straight playoff games on the road, including mighty NDSU, especially considering they survived 5 picks and a punt returned for a TD in that game. I looked at the stats, and the total yards were something like 450-250 for Illinois State. If not for the five picks, they would have rolled NDSU. Now that they seed 16 teams, I never would have imagined that an unseeded team could ever make it all the way to the championship game, and I know it's been a long time since a road team won a semifinal game. Earlier in the season, we all thought everyone was playing for 2nd place this year, that NDSU was probably unbeatable, but Illinois State proved otherwise. That being said, if I was a betting man, I would feel very confident putting a significant amount of money on the Cats. I just don't think this team is going to be denied this year. I've got the Cats by 10.

I don't have Instagram, but am I understanding this correctly, that was an actual post by Jordan Tripp? If that's correct, it's Exhibit A for the arrogant, delusional, living in the past, attitude of so many gris fans. And they really can't understand why we all despise them so much!?!?

The hardest thing to get rid of is a pessimistic or worrisome attitude when their team is behind. Montana State has learned how to suck it up and win in the face of adversity. Fans are still learning.
