I think if you show up a quarter late, it’s fair in my opinion that everyone doesn’t immediately play musical chairs to accommodate you. You clearly don’t care about the game.

I've seen some wild takes on this board but this was amazing. Literally had me laughing out loud! =D^

You don’t think it’s reasonable to assume someone isn’t showing up if they aren’t in a seat 45 minutes after kickoff? At that point, just don’t go to the game and certainly don’t interrupt me watching the game.

Wait....you were serious? I thought for sure that was a joke.

I agree with ILTC.....really wild pov there.

What makes it wild? Why don’t you actually try and explain it. I feel like it’s very common sense to think someone isn’t showing up if they aren’t there 45 minutes after kickoff. Why would it be unreasonable for people to spread out? I’m not saying that you shouldn’t get into your seats, just that you can wait until a timeout.

Plenty of students do it and go into the student section. I think this is reasonable. But sitting in someone else’s seats- not reasonable

The reality is people slide around quite a bit because they naturally fill in space vs sit packed firmly against each other in tiny spots because of the number stuck below them.

I remember someone coming in late at a game last year and being quite obnoxious about people 'stealing' her seats when in reality it was just the whole row of people naturally spreading into open area, which happens whenever there is any opening.

While it's fair to expect people to eventually sort it out when you arrive later on, it's unfair to naturally blame the people that likely just kind of got group-pushed into your open seats.

We could always go back to the ushers at the bottom of each section checking tickets. Those were fun times. Don’t know how many times I was told I couldn’t use a ramp because it wasn’t my section

You could force everyone to get a stamp as they enter. SRO would be a different color and icon and everyone else gets the regular stamp. Then you show that as you walk into any of the ramps. Take a bit longer going in. I doubt for many games it’s a big enough issue to warrant doing anything though??

It was never a good idea. As I told the crotchety old lady every game “you know I can just walk back over to this section from the other ramp, right?”

That was back when I sat in 113 but used the ramp in 109 because fewer people went that direction

Oh dear. I sure hope you all find a way to keep them 'thar poachers off your precious seat! All the troubles and tribulations of getting your 'spenisve seat in one fashion, or another. Such a topic for fretting and frothing and chatting on a chat board. Mercy me.

Me? I'm going to be rooting for my Cats to beat the snot out of the Griz! And I could give less than 1/2 a sh*t if you mitten clappers need to preserve the 12" allocated to your special, pricy seat.

Go Cats!

Because they’re not your seats. You didn’t pay for them. You don’t get to dictate the rules. You don’t know why they are late and frankly it doesn’t matter. People paid money to get their seats and do with them whatever they want. They have the right to sit in their seats the SECOND they get to them. You don’t get to make the rules with other people’s property.

Honestly it’s wild to be this needs explaining. But I can assure you if I get to my seats an HOUR after kickoff and someone is in then, they’ll be leaving right then. You’re completely dreaming if I’ll just wait and let them have them until their convenience because they determined I wasn’t there when I should have been.

Completely bizarre take. Luckily I’ve never had to deal with this as I assume your view is shared by nearly no one with even a little sense. lol.

Some people take themselves veeeeerrrry seriously. Noted!

Let's pack this stadium and if you're a mitten clapper 45 mins into the game sort, for this game? Good luck! Blue and Gold is going to be in the stands bell to bell and it might be a titch uncomfortable for some of you.

This game is going to get crazy with wild Cat support. And it might be just a bit uncomfy for the typical stadium chair totting crowd. Too bad!

Go Cats!!!

It means our stadium will not be the usual place it is on any given game. This game is special. You are going to deal with a lot of extra Cat fans being where they should not be. That's how this goes!

Your post made you sound a little uncomfy, to me. Do you need an extra set of mittens? Stadium chair? Blanky?

I don't feel the need to post here. I'm not "new" (look it up). And I'm not a new Cat fan. You've no idea who I am. And I don't care.

Tell you what I'm going to do: Be on my feet the whole game, not caring where I am (I have a "seat"), but yelling for my boys and no matter what and not have a voice by the end of the game.

Go Cats!!!

Ha. That’s good man. Funny post. You don’t need to let anyone know this game is special. lol. Most of us know that. The energy will be incredible. I’ll be standing all game like always. Maybe we just sit in different sections. I’m in 104 and people don’t just take seats. Lol. But we’re all loud and proud and comfy just the same. I ended up with 26 tickets for this one and I and the 25 people I gave them to will be bringing the same energy we have for decades.

I think you should seek help brother. This is an insane rant about waiting a minute for a stoppage in play because you couldn’t be bothered to show up on time, not a dissertation on whatever property rights you believe a ticket gives you. Being polite is a two way street, you don’t need to start a fight because of reasonable mistakes.

You can tell the game is approaching. We are at each others throats about people sitting in the wrong seat.
