Songs about Nashville

Post by lutecat » Wed Dec 03, 2025 8:44 pm

Getting ahead of ourselves but...if we go to Nashville.

We cant play "if youre gonna play in TX..." if we are going to Nashville right? Though I was in the grocery store and could just see and hear having it play in Bobcat Stadium and Bobby having to listen as the game winds down....it gave me chills.

So what are some songs about Tennessee or Nashville?

Tennessee Whiskey is too slow. Although the whole Stadium singing "you're as smooth....Mas Tennessee Whiskey " would be pretty cool.

Tennessee Orange would be a hit with all the college girls on tik tok.

Tennessee Stud?

Back where I come from? "I'm an old Tennessean" is in the song.

This is my vote.

What else?

Rocky Top is the obvious one. I prefer the Nitty Gritty Dirt band version

Please please please please tell me you are kidding. You cannot play another teams fight song. Outrageous and ignorant.

Regardless of the song it will be an incredible scene inside of Bobcat Stadium. Looking forward to it so much.

"Down The Field" is Tennessee's fight song. Which school are you referencing? Or are you maybe the ignorant one?

Ignorant - lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.

Let me know if you need me to break that definition into smaller words for you to digest.

"Rocky Top" however is the official song of the state of Tennessee.

All that said, and this pains me, but your attempt at making a point is valid. Just about every single person who pays attention to college football would associate that with UT first. You're still wrong though.

You can't spell dUMb without UM and now you can't spell grizzLLies without 2 Ls.

Well, I don't know about the song, but playing this video on the scoreboard might be cool.

Rocky top is the “Unofficial” Official fight song of Tennessee. It is officially labeled the schools rally song but 100/100 people associate Rocky top as Tennessee’s fight song. At the end of the day it won’t matter. It’ll be the GRIZ singing it in Missoula after Yale wine 42-38.

You clearly, and strongly feel the Cats lose. "Yale wine 42-38" were you words.. Not sure if you meant Yale drinks 48 more wines to the cats 38 or what?
