WBB v colorado
Does Sanders daughter still play for Colorado?
Last day of hinting season so I'll be out in the field. Hopefully we get back in the win column.

Which Sanders? There is a girl named Sanders on Colorado team but no relation to Dion Sanders if that’s what you are thinking. Her parents are Scott and Jill….from Minnesota.
But my gosh they have a tall team…one lady 6’5”, three ladies at 6’4” and one lady at 6’3”. They start a smaller lineup but no doubt if they want to play “big” they can. If they did play “big” our ladies would eat them alive with quickness and press….imo.
Colorado has 5-2 record so will be tough matchup.

No, she played at Colorado for one season in 2023-24 and is now in her second year with Alabama A&M.

Re: WBB v colorado
I’m a big fan from across the pond. Being in the UK, I can’t get ESPN+, but I’ve found the official MSU WBB YouTube channel which shows the games (minus commentary). I’m planning to avoid finding out the score so that I can watch the game tomorrow.
I wrote a lengthy first post about a week ago, in which I introduced myself and explained why I love MSU so much.
Sadly, the post was pending as I didn’t have authorisation to start a new thread. I was hoping a moderator might be able to authorise it - I emailed one of the moderators but, alas, haven’t heard back.
In short:
- I got hooked on Montana basketball after watching the film Class C. It ticked all the boxes: basketball, small towns, community spirit, beautiful landscapes, etc.
- That led to me doing a road trip through small town Montana with my wife, taking in the Hi-Line, a pilgrimage to Reed Point, etc.
- I’ve since read numerous books and articles about basketball in Montana, including Blind Your Ponies, and feel like Montana is my spiritual home
- I’m fascinated by watching Class C players stepping up to D1 hoops. For that reason, it brings a lot of joy seeing Taylee Chirrick play so well.
- Now my number one thing on my bucket list is making it to Bozeman to watch the Bobcats. With two young kids, it might be a few years away, but that’s my life goal.
In the meantime, I’m excited to contribute to this forum, rather than being a long time lurker!

Colorado is a tough matchup due to their length and athleticism. Taylee has played outstanding so far. Her aggressiveness has been key to us staying at least somewhat in this game, as it has been very difficult to get a shot off without being aggressive..

Cats hung around until finally taking the lead in the 4th. Chirrick coming up big at the end. Great game for her overall. Made all her free throws. 19 points.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Boy you just can’t let down against this team! They were 18 down against Troy and got it down to 1 point in 4th Q but couldn’t quite finish as strong as today. I think came back from 12 today….
Two fouled out today…Jamison, Issy
Relentless defense again. Wow…so fun to watch. Jumping up and down in front of the TV!

Looking way ahead here, but if the Bobcats are fortunate enough to win the Big Sky Tournament in March this is the type of win they didn't have last year that could help get them a high enough seed to not play a true road game in the first round. Just a great win, this team does not give up!

Re: WBB v colorado
The difference between Colorado and Troy was 3 pointers. Troy couldn't miss, but Cats turned them over more. Matchups count! Cats can play against an upper tier taller team as long as they don't get hot from 3!

Re: WBB v colorado
Wow. Just wow. Down 8-12 most of the game then outscored the Buffs in the 4Q 22-11. What a game. We need to somehow divert some major NIL money to the ladies to keep them in Bozeman.
