I was one that was very doubtful, He was the right guy for the job. He’s proven me wrong and gotten more consistent every game. When he gets in a flow, he manages the game really well and makes plays however, he needs.
In particular in Missoula, he was a cool Cat
I knew Coach saw him as the man and that’s why he gets paid when he gets paid. So glad he is proven me wrong.
Still looking to see if Wilson gets worked into packages with Lamson on the field.
My understanding is Duchein is also improving in practice every day.
It's hard to believe he was only 62 for 135 at Stanford. 46%

Tom pointing out Justin's numbers at Standford makes me believe Vigen, the QB whisperer, has developed & elevated Justin's game as we have watched him improve weekly through the season, culminating (to-date) to what we witnessed last weekend. Holy smokes, (if the pieces stay in place) next year could be as special as this year and Cats are back-to-back national champs. I know...getting ahead of myself but very possible!

He was almost perfect passing! 18/20 after throwing his first one high for Taco. His reads were great and his running was spot on every time we needed him.

I was thinking about that... first pass incomplete and then the 2nd one of the day was right on the money and should have been caught. But, there were also a couple, just two that I remember where the throw was a bit off and his receivers bailed him out. Pretty epic.

Was pass to Dowler high because throwing over a LB or just maybe nerves. I think if he hits him Dowler had a chance to score.

I don’t think Lamson leaves even if Vigen does.

He’s never gotten to play in a place with fan support like this. Nowhere he transfers to will have that either. He’s not a pro prospect, he already has a degree from a good school, he ain’t leaving.
That doesn't mean there isn't some coach out there willing to say that he's a pro prospect to get him to leave.

Plus, if someone offers a million dollars, that's hard to turn down. That's a ton of fun-money or a ready made retirement fund. Especially hard to turn down if you're not counting on seeing that kind of money in the NFL later.

Oh if anybody offers any of MSU’s players that much, they should leave and not think twice about it.

Yeah but not every player that has been offered a bag of NIL$$$ has ended up getting that bag so it would be wise to have some good signed documents first.

So with Vigen's history of developing NFL caliber QBs, after a playoff run, perhaps an NC, and another year next season, what is Lamson's potential at the next level?

I would be a heck of a lot better than it was a Stanford, Syracuse, or Bowling Green

He has the size and the right personality/attitude. He will need to see the field a bit better as I know they have pointed out a number of times he has missed easy passes, on the flip side he does make a decision and has full confidence to go with it, that’s a great attribute. He also is, knock on wood, extremely durable.

Personally, if everything stays the same between this year and next year, I think the biggest boost he can get is a big receiver that can go up and snag the 50/50 balls, we really haven’t had that guy since Lance.

The more I think about it, with the emergence of Steel and Woods, both redshirt freshman, we will be stacked at receiver next year. I think with a more balanced offense we will be able to attract a few decent portal dudes, and if he maintains his accuracy he may have a decent shot.

Vigen's history with QBs is brought up fairly often, especially by non-MSU media. How much time is he spending with Lamson individually and the QB room in general? He's the head coach. Does he really have time for that? He seems to be great at delegating so I've wondered this since year 2. Is Tommy's development and Lamson's breakout attributable to Vigen or mostly/all to the OCs?

Regarding Lamson's future, it probably depends on opening up the playbook. We haven't really used our so-called deep threats this year in that kind of role and I assume that is more of a reflection on Lamson than the WRs or OL.

Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!

And a kick away from a championship.

Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

His season will probably look almost identical to Cam Miller’s junior season. If he can focus on his vision and deep ball accuracy, next year the sky is the limit. Like I said earlier, I think he would also benefit greatly with a receiver that is a ball hawk for deep balls.

He is not a NFL QB. And I'm very happy we have him.

Lamson is The most impactful transfer in MSU football history! What an incredible offseason pickup!!

I’m not scouring the past rosters, records , etc. and probably am missing someone but Julius Davis might be #2!

Speaking of that, I see Elvis Akpla is being inducted into the MSU HOF this year.

Junior Adams will always be #1 for me.

Joey Thomas, Michael Jefferson and Bryce Sterk are 3 that jump to mind.
