It's good to keep our young talent as under the radar as possible this time of year.

Unfortunately I don't think the all conference lists make a difference in that regard.

What a snub that Justin didn’t get offensive MVP. Eli is great, however, nothing he did this year was spectacular enough to receive that. Simply they did not want to give Justin two awards.
I have no problem with it. Lamson has been steady but isn't tops on passing or rushing. Might be our MVP but not best individual player.

This entire selection was a snub on the cats. Griz trenches are garbage, extremely favorable to good ole boy Bobby. What will be hilarious is their ‘talent’ won’t be get them to the semifinal game.

Ya it was all based on their 11-0, up until Cat-Griz, schedule.

Gilman wouldn't have been my vote, but it's at least defensible. But how on earth did KAY get 1st team? Hes good, but he only the 2nd best QB in Montana & the 3rd in the conference.

Did no coaches watch the Brawl?

To be fair, some of them were busy getting fired and submitted their ballots ahead of time.

And you know, Barney voted Griz all the way down.

-Interesting Gilman isn't up for walter payton award but wins offensive player of the year?
-Griz had quite a few more selections that us. Guess that makes sense why Vigen is coach of the year?
-Hoping we have Lamson and Vigen back together next year
- Cole Taylor has two more years of eligibility after this year is over. Could be a very dangerous force to reckon with as he continues to gain experience. First year seeing the field and he earns second team.

Mikey D'Amato of Cal Poly wins first team lb. Former cat commit. Was here for a few weeks his freshman year before leaving the program.

Something to keep in mind with these lists: certain players are standouts and will always rise to the top. In many positions where there aren't clear and obvious candidates, guys who are seniors and have played several years will tend to get the nod. I think some of the coaches trade votes with other coaches for guys that have done a lot for their programs.

At least that's the only rationale I can come up with for the gris o-line selections.

Just a few more chips to add on the shoulders. Forget these awards, they got a natty to go win.

Exactly yes! Those awards won’t win contribute to any wins.

I guess when your team falls behind in half your games and you have to pass like hell to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat so often, you pile up passing stats. Meanwhile, the Cats are usually in control and split carries between a stable of running backs and Lamson. Plus, we got the Great Divide Trophy if I'm not mistaken;-)

It seems like the OPOY and DOPY should be unanimous votes. Gillman and Dowler are both exceptional players and they would top the charts for my first team ballot
