YSU isn't the easiest first round opponent for the Cats. I expect us to beat them but it's not a great first round draw.

If Mason comes back, UM might be 2-3 point dogs at home. If SDSU can beat UND on the road with their backup, they can sure handle the Pandas.hokeyfine wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:47 amI like the bracket. I think um has a tougher bracket than the bobcats. I hope that um has to come to Bozeman. The Cats have a huge psychological advantage right now and a win would be even more pivital in the series. I can't emphasize enough how big of a win the game was yesterday.
SDSU has a good defense and winning yesterday on the road with a freshman QB is huge. If they get their hurt players back they are going to be a tough matchup for um.

I guess they could just say the names and pit out the list. I think it's great that they give FCS football an hour of discussion. Wish they would do an hour Long show each Sunday to recap the week.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:27 amNo reason this show should take 30 minutes, so they've gotta fill it with talk and commercials.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:20 amI wonder if they can figure out a way to do this reveal any slower.

I wouldn't exactly call Davis and "easy walk". They'll give NDSU a game.

Did you see the end? Sdsu completed a miracle 35 yard TD pass to win it. Very lucky. The only way the griz are in danger is if sdsu gets Mason back.onceacat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:53 amIf Mason comes back, UM might be 2-3 point dogs at home. Very favorable. I'm not a fan of any 7-5 teams getting in regardless of their conference. But I'm not sure who really deserves to be in over UND after Monmouth lost at home to 2-10 U Albany yesterday. NAU really screwed themselves over yesterday losing to that awful Weber team.Bobcat Sig wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:52 amIndeed. It’s the Big Sky, MVFC, and everyone else. But man… 6 teams in? Just noticed that the bracket has Drake vs South Dakota in the first round despite those teams playing each other in the regular season. I thought that wasn't allowed?

Re: FCS Selection Show 10:00
If we’re going by the committee’s logic, it’s all about record. So by that, UND would be out and Monmouth is in. Except that’s not what happened . It’s only applicable when it fits the narrative, unfortunately.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:56 amVery favorable. I'm not a fan of any 7-5 teams getting in regardless of their conference. Agreed, not a great draw, but with that many valley teams it was maybe inevitable. Still rather play Youngstown than a healthy sdsu or South Dakota.

Yep, although if UC Davis gets some of their players back they could be dangerous. We all know what Pinnick is capable of.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:42 amyep

On the NCAA's bracket the start time for the second round game is listed as Noon Mountain Time.

The Griz got an absolute brutal draw. Every team they could possibly play in their quadrant can match them or defeat them up front. Mercer has been building a physical unit. They lost 31-7 in Fargo in the playoffs last year but punched with them for a bit, especially defensively. The south Dakotas can push them around. If they can navigate all that their reward is a game in Bozeman. Yikes.

Re: FCS Selection Show 10:00
This is sort of what I'm hearing from my gris friends which I think is downright hilarious. They wanted to win yesterday BIG TIME! Hey, we are BIG SKY CHAMPS! I'm hearing, "well, it's hard to beat a team twice in one year so we would rather win the one that's really important." Ha, yeah RIGHT!kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:10 amI really think the gris were OK with losing yesterday. I'm not saying it's a good strategy, but Hauck said after the game they played pretty simple on defense. I think they believed they'd get the 3 seed if they lost and wouldn't have to play NDSU until Nashville. Obviously they tried to win, but I have a hunch they didn't show everything they had yesterday. I think it's dumb and it'll backfire on them, but I don't think MSU got their best shot yesterday. Unfortunately for them, MSU didn't give their best shot yesterday either and still won in the "Mecca".
Just come on over to Bobcat Stadium and see how easy that's gonna be for ya.
First things first though. Vigen and the Cats will NOT look ahead.

Although that SDSU win was against UND who should have beat the Gris at home back in September. UND absolutely gave that game away.91catAlum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 23, 2025 11:55 amDid you see the end? Unfortunately for them they'll also have to play defense when they come to Bozeman, and that side of the ball is...not good from what I've seen. I give Yale a very realistic shot of winning next weekend.
