Tennessee Tech at #13 after going 11-0 against the FCS is wild.

I wonder if they can figure out a way to do this reveal any slower.
Painful!

Getting USD and SDSU on our side is brutal...
I won’t be surprised when sdsu is on our side. They probably want the rematch. Which is dumb

No reason this show should take 30 minutes, so they've gotta fill it with talk and commercials.

Odd that they’re questioning UC Davis at 8 and not Mercer at 7
Mercer is 9-1 vs the FCS and on a 9 game winning streak. 8-0 in the Southern. Davis is 8-3 and quite honestly shouldn't have even been in the top 8 discussion.
True but they were on the verge of losing to UC Davis at home. Davis lost to Washington and MSU both on the road. Idaho State loss really hurt them.

I really think the gris were OK with losing yesterday. I'm not saying it's a good strategy, but Hauck said after the game they played pretty simple on defense. I think they believed they'd get the 3 seed if they lost and wouldn't have to play NDSU until Nashville. Obviously they tried to win, but I have a hunch they didn't show everything they had yesterday. I think it's dumb and it'll backfire on them, but I don't think MSU got their best shot yesterday. Unfortunately for them, MSU didn't give their best shot yesterday either and still won in the "Mecca".
He knew if they didn't keep it simple Cats would take advantage of gash plays.

Nobody is "ok" losing cat/griz.
When the gris win it's a big deal. When they lose it's "just another game" and the cats take it too seriously.

No doubt. And they didn’t get smoked by FBS team as I recall.

Guessing that USD, SDSU, Abilene, and Youngstown will be the four remaining seeded teams.

At least the griz will have to play SDSU. Hopefully with a healthy mason. Although their new QB is looking a lot better.

You actually believe that?
It's a hot take, I know. I don't think they wanted to lose, I just think they went in thinking it's not the end of the world in the long run. In the NFL, teams lose all the time and come back and beat the same team in the playoffs only a couple weeks later. Hauck is all in on trying to win a natty, and I wonder if he wouldn't take a less conventional approach. He obviously doesn't care about the in-state recruiting battle anymore, so is he willing to say Cat-gris isn't as important as it used to be? He knows he's not getting fired, and he knows the ONLY way his legacy improves at all is to win the NC. I'm way out on a limb here, but I think that crazy little brain of his might have been rolling that possibility around.
No, just... no. Even Bobby is smart enough to know if his team can't beat the Cats in the Mecca, there's no way in hell they're going to come into Bobcat Stadium and win. Hell - that might be harder to do than taking down NDSU in Fargo this year.

Wow, Griz might have to beat both South Dakota teams to get to the semis.

If sdsu gets some guys back healthy, the griz have a very tough first round game.

Mercer is 9-1 vs the FCS and on a 9 game winning streak. 8-0 in the Southern. Davis is 8-3 and quite honestly shouldn't have even been in the top 8 discussion.
And then UC Davis gets a pretty easy draw as well for who they’ll have to play.
UC Davis was leading Mercer on road before weather delay in 4th. Played well vs Cats. Just had the 1 bad loss. If you have 7-5 UND in and SDSU and USD ranked with 4 losses UCD is OK especially with Big Sky getting 2 and 3 seed

Cats will get Youngstown State or Yale first barring a weird seeding choice.
