I don't bet...but I would have! Originally had it at 33.5 but edited, even that was too low.

God, I love it when players hit the mid range jumpers. Such a lost shot with everyone going for threes.

In other news. I just flipped over to another game. It’s a tight one….CSU Northridge 72-0 over Bethesda halfway through the 3rd. It looks like a D1 program vs a Class B high school team.

Philip is going to be a problem for opposing teams offenses.

And exactly why I posted that…my version of an announcer jinx. Bethesda drills a 3!!
…and to add, Bethesda has exactly 5 players.

It’s funny, I can just see Chirrick’s mind working while watching her. Anticipates everything so well.

They played San Diego last night with 5 players and lost 92-23, now playing CSUN with 5 tonight. Sounds borderline dangerous, I feel for the players. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to schedule that?

Yeah Jamison Philip is advanced way beyond her years in basketball sense and has vision, twitch, and confidence to match.

Now, they are hitting threes. I was starting to wonder if that would be a weakness. I know, it’s just one game.

Well, I have hoping to hit the century mark, but that won’t happen.

As others have said it's just one game but I don't think this team is going to miss that one guard (what's her name) that left for (I'm not sure was it Sac?) Seems like she was pretty good but buh-bye.
Goodness lots of freshman talent.

A lot of former Bobcats are now wearing green and the team clearly isn't any the worse for being without any of them. Good lesson to not freak out so much about the transfer portal. Coach Bin knows what she's doing.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 9:47 pmAs others have said it's just one game but I don't think this team is going to miss that one guard (what's her name) that left for (I'm not sure was it Sac?) Yep, another thing that I liked seeing is how much stronger most of the returners look this year. It's to be expected but it doesn't just happen without lots of hard work through the off season.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 9:52 pmA lot of former Bobcats are now wearing green and the team clearly isn't any the worse for being without any of them. The passing was awesome from so many gals and it takes someone making themselves open for those passes to be made. I hope that continues when up against stiffer competition.

Love to hear your evaluations. I was only able to catch the last few minutes on radio and was continually asking “who?” Granted it was when we were up by a bunch, but Bunyan was the only name I recognized. Sounds like Harris had a heck of a night.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 04, 2025 10:01 pmYep, another thing that I liked seeing is how much stronger most of the returners look this year. Agree & combined with using the glass on some of those jumpers. Bailey, H. Smith, & FatBer (probably not a good nickname for Brooke) all made some nice mid-range bank shots.

Fun team to watch and not a senior in the bunch. If coach bin can keep this team together, there are special times ahead!

Re: WBB vs Carroll
Dykstra started for Michigan State and had four points against an overmatched Mercyhurst. Picton started for Sac and had 18 against an overmatched "Stanton". Good luck to them both but that's the last time this year I'll post about them.
As for the 'Cats, they look great. Everyone is quick and skilled. I think Chirrick has a very good chance to lead us in rebounds, although Couture had nine last night which I hope to be a trend. Harris looks much stronger and confident. We need a "go to" scorer and she could be it. Grace Hintz missed most of her high school JR year and all of her SR year with knee injuries so she basically hasn't played in two years. Might take her awhile to round into basketball shape. Brook F looked great after an injury plagued year. And little Philip, Smith, Bailey, Bunyan, and Johnson all chipped in.
Carroll is a highly ranked (#15) NAIA school but the 'Cats will face a sterner test at Portland. Portland was 31-5 last year but lost their conference title game so had to settle for the WNIT where they knocked off Stanford and Seton Hall before losing to Villanova. They lost 4 of their 5 leading scorers but will have a height advantage over the 'Cats with three girls 6'3" or taller and almost everyone else is around 6'0". We'll have to force turnovers. Should be fun.
