Bobcat Fans = Griz fans in loyalty to team, coaching staff and general football knowledge.

I feel no need to elaborate!

If the Griz lose a home game 45-0 this season at home there will be more than just people venting on the internet about Hauck.

I agree. I would like to think that we are some how "better" fans and able to sit by and enjoy a day of football no matter how bad our team looks, but I think when it comes down to it we all have expectations and want to see our teams win. Like it or not in college sports today as a coach and player you have to produce or move on.

I would like to think that rtb, but it would have been tough watching that game. Hopefully optimism can outweigh our feelings now, but that will be tougher if this continues to happen. EWU might be the remedy as much as I would hate to bash on my alma mater. They lost to a D-II school this weekend and are looking very vulnerable. Something needs to happen.

Like the Cats, EWU is also struggling to replace a quarterback that set the bar (and fan's expectations) pretty high. From what was in the Spokesman Review two weeks ago, the Eagles' coaching staff was also a little tentative in deciding on a starter. I painfully submit that this coming Saturday is a make-or-break contest for both schools. Now's when Cat coaches and players need to regain their resolve about what kind of team they are. Another down day on Saturday for all practical purposes would dash any hopes of competing for even a share of a conference title.

Hopefully this is the end of Turner Brown making us Griz fans look like morons?

I doubt it. There are some people who just don't when to shut their mouth; even when it continues to reveal their extremely low IQ. Unfortunately, there's a few on every board that are there just to ruffle some feathers and get a rise out of anybody. Best to just blow it off.................

Not only does this post make Griz fans look arrogant, but its not even true. The last time the Griz were shut out at home was 38-0 against Nevada in 1983.

To the Griz fans on here that keep giving the Cats Sh!t about their last two games.....what goes around, comes around. Try having a little class while remembering a thing called KARMA. When the Griz lose and Cat fans have nothing better to do than smack, they look like idiots trying to get their GPA above the probation level. Just like some of you are doing now. It's like you hate the Cats more than you love the Griz. Got Issues??

Cat fans know their team sucked it up. Isn't that enough.

I watched the game with team MQuast and Hello Kitty. It was obviously a tough game to watch. I thought it sucked for the state of Montana and the Big Sky. I wonder what the rest of the season has in store for the Cats. They need a win against EWU (from the book of duh) and I hope they get it.

Good post CTOWM....unfortunately with the invention of the message board, shut ins like TB have to be dealt with on both sides of the aisle when their Capri Suns get low and they're losing all their Magic:The Gathering cards to their moms

I can agree with you totally.... We each have our grains of sand in the K-Y Jelly. I am 1st above all a Griz fan... from there, I am a Cat fan. I am a native Montanan from central Montana that has been a part of Cat Nation for an eternity. I am never happy when either MONTANA team loses badly. Looks bad for the BSC as well... I hate to see EWU lose to CW also... just not a good year for BSC I guess.... I hope the Griz don't have a bad year. The Easterner's would have a hayday about western football and the East Coast bias would even get bigger....

Hang in there Cats... Hopefully things will turn around for you!! :(

I will agree with VictorG's original post and rtb's follow-on. It is going to be painful watching the stands that have taken four years of good fun football to fill up empty after two painful losses, but I fear it will be the case (prove me wrong Cat fans, please).

On a side note, and in response to Meat and Edd and many other Griz fans around here, I would like to say thanks for all of the classy posts these last couple weeks. With the exception of a few, Cat fans have been harder on the team and other Cat fans than Griz fans have been. Thanks again, I hope Cat fans will remember and return the favor in the future when that Karma thing Meat referenced happens to come up.

I agree. I read on one of these boards that the Davis announcers concluded from this that our conference sucks. That pisses me off. I figure the Cats are now like a ticking bomb that will inevitably go off in the face of an opposing team, probably sooner rather than later. I hope that happens before they play the Griz. And we have way too many Griz fans who take way too much delight in kicking the rival when he is down. What goes around always does come around.

Heck, sounds pretty nice to me using a warm oly and all. I mean it was downright chilly outside Saturday! ;)

That pisses me off too, actually.

I read somewhere that their announcers were spouting off about their combined score vs. BSC teams over the past couple years (something like 76-7?) It's a ridiculous statistic, though, if you look at their games:

Last year, they lost to Portland State (14-12), and beat (perennial doormat) Sac State 37-7.

This year, they beat No. Colorado (probably the worst team in the conference) 38-7, and the Cats (maybe weak this year - no smack intended - or maybe a bad game) 45-0. Based on that, they think our conference sucks? If they're judging our conference based on Sac State, No. Colorado, and the Cats team that showed up on Saturday...do I need to say more?

I hope we can get 'em in Missoula in December in a few years...

EDIT: Missed one: Davis also lost to Eastern Washington last year, 24-7. So they were 1-2 against our "sucky" conference last year.
