Hopefully everyone isn’t still embarrassed by their EWU predictions.

Too soon?

45-21
They get hot in the 2nd quarter but we put the clamps on in the 2nd half. Offense rolls throughout.

Looks like it might be a rainy day as of now. Hopefully the forecast will change for the better.

The same ISU team that put up 90 points and 521 yards two weeks prior was held to 38 points and 497 yards by the Gris defense that had several players under the weather. This could be the type of old-school slugfest that we tell our grandchildren about.
Or, it could be:
Bengals 9
Cats 59

I've been trying to figure out a way for a team to move the ball against MSU. It's going to take a super-talented offense. Oregon did it but a lot of that was due to their OL being so massive and strong. SDSU's OL was good too and Mason had a good game 15-23-0 163 yards and 1 TD, but SDSU only had 260 yards and just 4.4 per play. MSU's defense seems to be playing with a lot more confidence now.
MSU's defense was on the field for 78 plays last week. They didn't show any signs of slowing down late in the game and if anything, they wore down NAU. Lots of rotation. Pennington threw 31 passes in the first half. He wasn't very effective. I'm not sure how much speed ISU has but even if they're as fast and talented as Oregon, I don't think their OL is anywhere near as good as Oregon's.
Vigen is saying that ISU is a whole different offense than they've seen all year, so maybe they got a twist that'll be effective. I have a hard time predicting anyone is going to score more than 10 points on MSU's defense until I see someone do it.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I’d imagine ISU is watching a lot of what Mercyhurst did in the pass game. It was surprisingly effective considering the talent disparity. They converted a lot of downs with it.

Oh I don't know, I'm feeling a random score of 44 to 19.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

According to sportsbetMT, MSU is a 18.5 point favorite with a 52.5 O/U.
Implied score is 35.5-17.

45-28 Cats but it won't be that close. ISU is good enough to score a couple TDs against the backup defense in the 4th quarter.

I feel targeted! (and you're right) I was way off last week. So who the heck knows this week.
