I think Taco's 12 catches are Top Ten. The online list hasn't been updated since the end of the 2022 season. Pretty unlikely anyone had 12 or more since then. If not, then Taco's 12 would tie him for 6th with four other players.

I had already added that to the front page after the Oregon game…
Oh.
I was looking so hard I missed it. ;)

Crazy that no RB has hit 100 yards rushing yet this season. Last year the question wasn’t if a back would get 100 in a game, but how many would.

Carries have been split and not many big runs.

I don't expect anyone to look this up and I know it's not a record anyone keeps, but Lamson threw for 251 yards in a half. I wonder when the last time a MSU QB did that? Anyone remember any big halves passing by MSU QBs?

Probably would need to go back to prukop…. Would be my best guess.

One more to keep an eye on is all purpose yards for Adam Jones. Adding his receiving yards and kick return yards puts him at 1,930 yards. He’ll probably get close to cracking the top 10 this year. For sure next season.

Prukop had 310  in 2015 in the 2nd half in a 49-41 loss to NAU. He had 291 in a win over Cal Poly in the first half. He had 250 in first half in a loss to EWU in 15 and 237 in first half win vs UC Davis in 2014.

Transfers to Oregon senior year to get beat out by a true freshman. Gave up a spot in the MSU Hall of Fame to be benched his senior year. Don't look up the true freshman QB, he is a nobody now.

updated from NAU, statement victory!

-Added- Longest punt returns Top 10 list... Taco now owns that record as well.

He is going to own just about every punt return record there is before his career is over (probably flirting with big sky records as well when its all said and done).

Go Cats!

The defense is setting a lot of unkept records. Best 3-game points allowed (10) stretch since 1938, and best 4-game points allowed (20) stretch since 1929. I don't expect you start a list for these but just think they're noteworthy.

In 1992, Hysell's crew allowed just 20 in three games.
In 1973, Holland's guys allowed 21 in four games.
In 1964, Sweeney's fellas allowed just 29 in six games and had to 4-game stretches within that six allowing just 22.
In 1956-57, Storti's bunch allowed 20 in four games.
In 1938, Dyche's defense allowed 20 in four games.
In 1929, Dyche's gang allowed 12 in four games.
In 1929-30, Dyche's band allowed 0 points in four games, 0 over five and 6 over six.
