Scottie had 141 yards and a couple of scores for N M as they beat ISU. Jack Layne had a good day passing. He was a former Idaho about, correct.

Re: Other games
The most shocking result today was Northern Colorado coming as close as they did to upsetting Colorado State. Maybe they've finally got a decent coach there after the Ed McCaffrey disaster.

Re: Other games
Also a surprise, at least so far it looks like they've definitely taken more of a hit from their coaching change than SDSU has.

Re: Other games
I think UND is getting boosted a bit too much for almost beating what looks like a mediocre Kansas State team.

At least they aren't as bad as UCLA, which lost 35-10 at home last night to Jason Eck's New Mexico team made up largely of Big Sky transfers.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 9:22 pmI might have been generous calling Kansas State mediocre.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Sep 12, 2025 5:02 pmI think UND is getting boosted a bit too much for almost beating what looks like a mediocre Kansas State team.

Less than two years after promoting decorated alum DeShaun Foster to head coach, UCLA is back in the market for a program leader.
Foster, a former UCLA assistant and standout running back in Westwood and the NFL, was elevated very late in the 2023-24 coaching carousel. A solid finish to last season and an offseason highlighted by the transfer addition of quarterback Nico Iamaleava generated newfound excitement around the program. But then, the games began, and it was ugly right away.
After an 0-3 start in which UCLA was outscored 108-43, the school fired Foster on Sunday, two days after the Bruins were blown out by New Mexico at a mostly empty Rose Bowl.
UCLA badly needs a jolt as it tries to establish itself in the Big Ten. Athletic director Martin Jarmond, who hired Foster and has faced criticism, will lead the search, but there are questions how much control he will really have. -- Adam Rittenberg
