A couple player call outs
2 for me-
Cole Taylor- Played really solid at Oregon. Played GREAT against SDSU…. 13 tackles, Forced fumble, TFL…. I’m a big Neil daily fan, but i don’t see how Cole Taylor loses his starting spot at this point??? He looks really good out there. At the very least, that will be a hell of a rotation once daily is healthy again.
Hunter Parsons- Great game! Big sack, couple TFL’s, some huge hits. These are always my favorite type of players (few and far between in today’s portal world), guys that wait their turn developing over the years and then breakout for a huge senior season. Really excited to see what kind of season he can put together this year.

Agree on both. Parson's tfl while shrugging off the TE should be on Sportcenter.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 11:23 am2 for me-

Agree. I "assumed" Parsons was blocked out of making the tackle so I was looking downfield to see who was going to be in position to make the tackle so, I didn't actually see Parsons make the tackle.technoCat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 11:29 amAgree on both. Taylor and Parsons were both fantastic. I was also impressed by the young corners who made some nice plays and looked like they belong out there.

I agree with both of these and would add that Steel made a couple very nice catches. I hope he continues to get more opportunities. He isn't overly flashy but seems to make the most of the opportunities that he has had.

I thought the secondary played pretty well for being young. Promising for the future there.

Our CB’s are better than last year. Those guys can play.
Caden Dowler is so much better than I realized. His attitude is infectious on the field too, I love it. DB’s bring a lot of fire.
I especially want to call out JJ Dolan. He got a lot of playing time and more than held his own out there. Impressive considering the opponent.

Yes, the defense is as advertised (DL) and hyped (DBs). O'Groske made some incredible catches that were well-covered, but he just won. He kind of admitted to pushing off on McMillan on his OT TD on the SDSU postgame show. I think hand fighting is legal, but I don't know if you can use your hands to get separation. Not sure what the rule is. Anyway, it was a savvy, smart play by him and good players know how to use the rules to their advantage.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 4:36 pmOur CB’s are better than last year. I love Brott’s passion. He let some guys know they needed to step up and play harder! He was like having another coach on the field. Loved it!!
And Hunter Parson’s is the guy we will be talking about every game. True fire, grit and dedication. A senior who bided his time and is finally getting the payoff! Love to see kids like him succeed!

i. Eiden had a helluva game too.
ii. Not sure how Cole Taylor is not the starting LB going forward. He looks like the best LB we've had in many years now.

Alec Eckart might have had his best game as a Bobcat.

Opinion: When 19 gets healthy, he and 34 are the starting linebackers.
