Andrew Schmidt on Nuanez Now
Did anyone listen to the weekly rant that Andrew Schmidt has on Nuanez Now ripping the Bobcat fans, our record, and the university?
He did clearly state that none of it applies to the players. (Wouldn't want any of it to end up on the bulletin board!)

Which episode is it on, I don't see him listed as a guest on any of this week's episode descriptions.

Haven’t listed, but sounds like something Schmidt would say.
Just remember, Colter has him on to even out the Mikey Rider content. Nice to know that Rider would never talk like that on a radio show.

Re: Andrew Schmidt on Nuanez Now
I like Andrew and his takes...but its your classic "born in the 80s, raised in the 90s, and played in the 2000s" Griz junk that has been a sounding board for them for years. I find most of it funny but saying we shouldn't claim our DII title when there was no FCS and the Griz were in the same division/league with us is brain dead stuff as that is simply a titling change. But don't worry...the Griz will continue to think they'll win a title with Bobby Hauck despite his obvious shortcomings as a head coach and leader of a program. It works for getting wins at Wa-Griz...and that's about it.

I honestly forgot who Andrew Schmidt is.
However, Johnny is a full on creepy stalker who has incel written all over him. Johnny is a knife away from being a serial killer. I wouldn’t even put him in the gris fan category. Anyone that stalks current and former male and female Bobcat athletes and the male athletes girlfriends isn’t right in the head. He lurks here on BN too.
Oh, and I see that Johnny is begging gris fans to interact on his page now. Pathetic.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

True. I was a little harsh on the comparison.AFCAT wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 6:21 pmI honestly forgot who Andrew Schmidt is.

You may have been right, I don't know. I didn't and won't listen to this former athletes lame take on the opposing team's fans. I'm not going to help the ratings.Hawks86 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 6:49 pmTrue. I was a little harsh on the comparison.AFCAT wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 6:21 pmI honestly forgot who Andrew Schmidt is.

Per Sonny Holland, MSU would have won the tiebreaker if they had one. The NAIA Bobcats of the now D2 RMAC beat a team* from the now defunct Pacific Coast Conference, which became the PAC8-10-12 that year and MSU had no losses to St. Joseph’s one loss. The Cats had a big edge in total yards in a game that was played in calf deep mud.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 5:15 pmI like Andrew and his takes...but its your classic "born in the 80s, raised in the 90s, and played in the 2000s" Griz junk that has been a sounding board for them for years. So not really a tie but MSU was good sports about it, so it went down officially as a tie.

One, I do not endorse Andrew's takes, particularly this one. He is entertaining and I promise you, he is only going for a reaction. I'm not even sure he believes it. His dad coached for the Bobcats once upon a time and his mom still runs MSU news services, I believe, or did for a long time.
Second, this was not on our ESPN Radio show. This was on our Skyline Sports YouTube and our Big Sky Breakdown podcast series.
Third, MIke Rider's counter part for our Skyline team is actually Samuel Akem. Both are Xs & Os aces, former players, love analyzing the game and talking ball. Lucky to have both.
We've only done two episodes of "Talkin' Schmidt". Because of the reaction - both good and bad — I have rapidly executed finding a Bobcat counterpart - someone sharp, entertaining, funny, and not scared to talk a little ****** about the Griz. Stay tuned because that will debut next week

Thanks Colter for the clarification. It’s all good stuff in my opinion. Can’t wait!

I'm pretty sure Notre Dame was once declared a national champion with a 0-0 tie score. Some people are just ignorant about football history.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 7:12 pmPer Sonny Holland, MSU would have won the tiebreaker if they had one. They’re desperate and I’m here for it all day. Their big claim to fame is two national titles. They haven’t done anything in any other sport. Meanwhile, MSU is competing at a high level in multiple sports and winning national titles on a consistent basis. Skiing, track, rodeo, football, basketball…everything.MSU Doc wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 10:15 pmI'm pretty sure Notre Dame was once declared a national champion with a 0-0 tie score. Re: Andrew Schmidt on Nuanez Now
The all-time record for Cat-Gris is also hilarious. There were years in the mid-1900s where the Gris playing MSU was basically the equivalent of playing Rocky or Tech, and MSU still beat them once in awhile.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 5:15 pmI like Andrew and his takes...but its your classic "born in the 80s, raised in the 90s, and played in the 2000s" Griz junk that has been a sounding board for them for years. They live in their past and having Bobby 2.0 is indicative of it.
