I'll just go with my chili plan from 2 years ago, mixing them. Grilled split dog on top of a hamburger.

But in seriousness, hamburger all day! Although I prefer hamburgers cooked on a griddle or cast iron, and hot dogs boiled.

I'll just go with my chili plan from 2 years ago, mixing them. Grilled split dog on top of a hamburger.

But in seriousness, hamburger all day! Although I prefer hamburgers cooked on a griddle or cast iron, and hot dogs boiled.

I'd imagine you're in the distinct minority with those preferences. I grill in the middle of winter because I detest skillet cooked beef...

I kick it old-school with my 25 year old Weber gas grill. It doesn't really cook on low any longer, so I don't really have to worry about keeping it warm enough...

I'm a big variety guy in life so yes I'll switch back and forth between foods and even preparation methods. Sometimes I want a boiled dog, sometimes grilled. I think boiled dogs are better if you are going to load them up with toppings. I don't want to be tearing through a tough skin if the dog is loaded up with chili, or relish, peppers and onions, etc. But if it's just ketchup and/or mustard, then yes give me that extra flavor from the char. But a coney dog for example is either boiled or steamed.
