Agreed, this would be an awesome thread on its own that could be updated over time. My memories of Bobcat football don't go back past the '90s but I'd also love to see some choices of a starting lineup of 22 players chosen from this list from posters here who have watched more of the older guys play.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

Agree. I think it was a fun tangent, and will leave it to Tom or anyone else if it's going to continue. What I've learned is that two Cat players from the same family is quite common. Three or more... a lot less so. I'd say three or more is what you can call a legacy family of CATS!

Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Does preseason practice start on Aug. 5?

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

I don’t remember who’s Instagram but they posted yesterday with a countdown clock and it said 24 days.

I think there are some brothers/cousins that don't have the same last name.

Not sure if Konkol and Marks are related. Left a space there tho.
If you put 105 of these guys on a team, would they win a national championship?
When?

20+ years ago, they would for sure. More recently is more questionable, with teams running 3 and 4 WRs so often, the DSUs putting a bunch of quarterbacks in the NFL, and CB being the team's thinnest position.

Marty was Marty but Jay Kohn was absolutely gawd awful. Guy made mistake after mistake. Kept calling Ah Yat a true freshman for the first few games. Never had the down correct. On and on. Marty has a strange delivery but at least he knows what he was talking about. Jay was terrible.
