Re: Indoor facility
It does look fantastic! They made the right decision to take down all of the plastic from the walls and floor next to the track.

I'm assuming roof-wide netting to protect lights, sprinklers, speakers, etc.

It isn't. I think they were using a wide angle lens that made it look that way

There is supposed to be netting between the field and the track so that runners can practice without worry of a football blindsiding them.damnyoutuesday wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 3:18 pmI'm assuming roof-wide netting to protect lights, sprinklers, speakers, etc.

This is the rendering from way back in March 2024. You can see the netting suspended from the ceiling. The netting will reach all the way to the ground when in use.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 3:48 pmThere is supposed to be netting between the field and the track so that runners can practice without worry of a football blindsiding them.damnyoutuesday wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 3:18 pmI'm assuming roof-wide netting to protect lights, sprinklers, speakers, etc.

Very accurate rendering. Seems like most aren’t even close.AFCAT wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 4:28 pmThis is the rendering from way back in March 2024. You can see the netting suspended from the ceiling. A three-sport facility? The track team would naturally make a good dodgeball team.allcat wrote: ↑Thu Jun 26, 2025 6:40 amIf you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a football.RICO CAT wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 7:44 pmJoe Bobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 3:48 pmThere is supposed to be netting between the field and the track so that runners can practice without worry of a football blindsiding them.damnyoutuesday wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 3:18 pmI'm assuming roof-wide netting to protect lights, sprinklers, speakers, etc.

Re: Indoor facility
Looking at the third and fourth photos; is there some sort of an observation deck above the meeting room and toilet spaces? I've never seen any good photos of that area of the facility. We mostly get photos of the track and football fields, but not the North/main entrance side of the building.

Will there be any spectators allowed at the indoor meets held there? I can’t envision any place for spectators to watch. Anybody been inside and know the answer to this?

What an incredible recruiting tool. I have to say our facilities are top notch!Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 25, 2025 2:37 pmIt does look fantastic! They made the right decision to take down all of the plastic from the walls and floor next to the track.![]()
I trust that the netting system will be top notch and If so it will take some time to install. I saw a picture of netting in the Griz bubble, it was pathetic, and that is a kind description of what I saw.
