Great fan support in Brookings. Embarrassing to say the least.

I thought midwesterners would be tough enough to stand out in the cold, apparently not. Might need to build a dome for the soft fans.

There was apparently freezing rain that made the roads super slick

Ummm...

The game doesn't start for another 2 1/2 hours. Do you expect the stands to be full already?

Oops...I didn't see that they'd started already. In my best Emily Litella voice, "Never mind". ](*,)

Ok, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt then. That area can have horrible freezing rain. Crowd actually sounds pretty good on TV for the size.

Boy, UIW just looks terrible. They're usually a pretty scrappy team.

They have the NDSU mentality of not caring about these games because they only care about the semifinal game and Frisco.

If we end up having to play SDSU, our DBs are going to have to step it up a notch or three. Their passing game is really good.

Indeed. It’s like the game was over before it started.

Big time. Not only do the wide receivers run crisp routes, they get great separation. And Gronowski drops dimes. What’s more; the cold doesn’t seem to slow them down, either.

I have a hard time believing any of the first three. Probably more like 4,000; 7,000 and 6,000.

The CATS almost out drew the 3 Dak schools. Pretty unbelievable. Actually pretty sad.

I was looking up the attendance when I saw your post.

If only there was a consistent methodology for measuring attendance at playoff games.

Looks like the other 3 have adopted the "counting Robby Hauck's tackles" methodology.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.

Same methodology. It’s all based on tickets sold not butts in seats

SDSU never draws good in the playoffs. And until the last two maybe three seasons they never had a sellout outside The Marker.

None of the attendance numbers surprised me at all. It’s not a tradition in SD for the state to basically close down for home games, especially playoff games. The Bison have fan burnout. That’s not a new story and it appears to be trending in the wrong direction.

All those attendances seem about right. The SDSU stadium holds over 19,000 so I can buy that it was a little less than half full today. The playoff attendance numbers will be pretty accurate, since the NCAA gets the ticket revenue the teams have no reason to try and inflate the numbers.
