The SDSU game in 2021. Honorable mention: The Furman game when Kramer was coach. Only 12K but sounded like 20K.

SDSU 2021 was insane. Will tomorrow night be louder than that?

The UNH game where the game-tying extra point bounced off the upright has to be up there. I'm quite sure the sound waves from the crown altered the kicked ball's trajectory...
griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.

Remember that game well. Cold game. Maybe less than 12,000 fans in attendance, but damn it was loud!Bobcat Sig wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 12:00 pmThe UNH game where the game-tying extra point bounced off the upright has to be up there. Re: Crowd for Friday Night
Sound just seems louder when it is cold. Hunting at 10° early morning it seems like you can hear every little squeak, crunch, or rustle within mile. Cold games seem to amplify the sound.

SDSU 2021 in my opinion. Everyone keeps saying Idaho in October ( which was a great atmosphere do not get me wrong) but that 2021 semi game against SDSU was the loudest I have ever heard Bobcat Stadium.

It does. Air molecules are denser and are a better medium for the sound to travel farther through.

Agree. I remember "The Tackle" by Troy - the place got pretty loud.cat22[2010] wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 12:12 pmSDSU 2021 in my opinion. I've been to most of the games mentioned in this thread, but I believe the loudest single moment was the lost fumble on the gris' first offensive play in the 2022 Brawl. The crowd was already jacked from College Gameday and from the tailgates starting at 5am, and this moment was at a whole different level.

UNH game is #1 for me, that place was deafening!!
SDSU in the semis #2 for sure. Give me more if we’re going to play in Texas.
Maybe it’s just me but Bobcat Stadium doesn’t have the juice this year vs other years.

That was 2019 FYI. Griz came out in front of the student section, took a delay of game on the first play of the game and then fumbled immediately. 2022 we had the ball first and drove the field in 2:39ClowderUp wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 1:37 pmI've been to most of the games mentioned in this thread, but I believe the loudest single moment was the lost fumble on the gris' first offensive play in the 2022 Brawl. Right, the delay of game and fumble was 19 but college gameday was 22damnyoutuesday wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 2:23 pmThat was 2019 FYI. Ah thanks. I was confused. The 2019 fumble made my ear drums bleed. I think the delay of game got everyone juiced, and then the juicer exploded lol.cats2506 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 2:40 pmRight, the delay of game and fumble was 19 but college gameday was 22damnyoutuesday wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 2:23 pmThat was 2019 FYI. Edit: In my defense it's hard to keep straight all the victories over the gris these day. Nice problem to have.

We haven't used our solo stove in the tailgate all year but we'll break it out for this one. HOWEVER, we will be in our seats at the beginning of the 3rd quarter! GO CATS!
