That is the absolute truth.
Gris fans I know are really divided. Like Civil War divided. Half want BH to leave yesterday, and half want him to stay forever.
I am glad the Cats have a coach we all love and an AD we trust.

That is the absolute truth.
I wonder what the um AD is thinking right now.

Jokes aside, you can actually help "support" the Cats football team and coaching staff directly through joining the Bobcat Quarterback Club. Check it out,

It is an awesome way to get your "$50" heading in the right direction.
Cats by a million!
2018, his first year of his second stint. They went 4-4 with 3 home losses (Portland State, UC Davis, MSU), as well as road losses to Western Illinois and North Dakotacats2506 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:54 pmI wonder what the um AD is thinking right now.
He has a coach in his 5th year whos motto when he hired him was "return to dominance"
They lost 2 conference home games, how long has it been since that has happened.
They just got spanked by the Cats
The Cats got the pick of pretty much all instate recruits
Their best instate recruit they lost to an NAIA school
They just had a playoff game with the lowest attendance since the early 90's
They have a second round playoff game that nobody, even their most faithful fans think they have a shot at winning.
Nobody is interested in their coach or staff.
Yup, the QBC gives a ton of money to the team and is a big reason for MSU footballs success.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:58 pmThis X 7,000. Join the QBC. What a hilarious post. I cannot remember a time when the in state recruiting was ever as lopsided to one team for in-state players. Not even during the streak. I think the stark difference between Coach Vigan and Hauck has become so apparent that it makes the choice a no brainer.cats2506 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:54 pmI wonder what the um AD is thinking right now.

Since 2001 Coach Vigen has worked at 3 schools. Coach Choate is on school number 10 in that same time span.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 4:04 pmI'm as big of a Brent Vigen fan as there is, but I don't know anything about his ability to build up a broken program. In his first head coaching job (at MSU), he took over a team that was in good shape and made it better. In my opinion Jeff Choate is the perfect kind of guy to turn around a bad program with his enthusiasm, passion, and his ability to recruit better than his program deserves. He's a great fixer, but it remains to be seen if he can maintain a successful program. And that's OK...maybe he's a guy who always needs a new challenge. Teams should hire him as a fixer, then let him go fix the next program and turn its culture around. Vigen strikes me as a little more of a slow burn guy. He's brilliant, but IMO he'd need 4-5 years to right the ship where Choate could do it in 2-3. Obviously I'm biased and obviously it's just my impression, but Vigen is the kind of guy who needs to stay in one place for a while and really show what he can do. Vigen's personality is more of an NFL coach. I'm not saying he's qualified for that, but they don't need to be rah rah guys--they just have to manage a program really well. He's getting better at the rah rah for sure, but he's not a dynamic leader that down-on-their-luck programs need.
Vigen when UNM calls: "Sorry, wrong number."
Utah State isn't really a cellar dweller, they were the Mountain West champions as recently as 2021 and this season is only the second one since 2011 that they aren't bowl eligible. New Mexico, on the other hand...yeah, I can't see that as a job Vigen would be super interested in.
Unfortunately in this day and age $$ is all that seems to matter, of he's offered enough he will leave. UNM is going to be losing alot of players so a good chance his kids could get playing time.
When someone within the program was asked how they got Adam Jones out of Missoula, they said, "oh, easy, all we had to do was let him go on a one-day visit to UM and after hanging out with that staff, we knew we'd get him for sure."seataccat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 7:11 pmWhat a hilarious post. He would more than double his salary but you think that is a lateral move?
I will agree that this is true for a lot of people, however there are still some of us out there that have forgone money in favor of quality of life and job satisfaction.
