I must have missed the part where UC Davis ran well against us. Larison had 4 or 5 runs over 5 yards, one of which was 34 yards through about 6 tacklers. Take out that run and his YPC was 3.5. The majority of his runs were 1-4 yards.

Davis had 92 rushing yards total, although I believe sacks get deducted from rush yards in college rather than pass yards, and there were a lot of sacks.

The Cats had 157 rush yards, which is less than half our average. Davis did a fantastic job stopping the run. Really good defense by them.

Correct. Overall Larison was at 4.9 YPC, and that was due to one big run. They didn't run well against us.

This is related to the UC Davis forum but thought it might go here. For anyone that peruses egris occasionally, check out this thread in their forum and you'll see the difference between gris posters (mouth breathers) and Aggies fans.

NCagalum attached an 8 page cluster analysis of the BSC. High level stuff.

What do you have to do to get a look at his analysis? I clicked on it and was told that I don't have permission to download it.

Try this. It’s a direct link from my google drive:

You guys have a very, very good team. Manhandled our o-line in the first half. The Aggies do have an overlooked defense and I did like the way they refused to give up. I almost went to bed (late on east coast) and was glad I didn’t except for the stress :-). Congrats on the win.

Good luck in the playoffs. Both of our programs should represent well.

Larison was the best player I’ve seen this year- hands down.

Would love to have the Cats pick off SDSU and UCD pick off NDSU in the semis and meet again in the chipper!

He's damn good. But, Tommy Mellot is the best FCS player in the country.

Let me rephrase - Larison is the best player I’ve seen that isn’t on the Cats.

The dude had 2 one handed catches. Luckily the 2nd catch went for -2 yards!

That isn’t entirely unlikely. With neither MSU nor UCD playing anyone from the MVFC and likewise for SDSU, NDSU and USD, there’s no way to tell.

UM’s games vs UND and Missouri St are the best measuring sticks and they probably don’t say much.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

It just feels like they aren't what they have been. No Christian Watson level WRs, heck not even the Janke twins. No Tucker Kraft or Zach Heinz TE's. No Hunter Luepke's, Pierre Strong or Isaiah Davis type of RB's (although that freshman at NDSU is pretty good). A few NFL lineman but not the entire starting Oline like in 21. Don't get me wrong they are good but they aren't a level above like the last few seasons.
