MSU BOBCATS............35
ucd Aggies...................17
Was going to go with 45 for the CATS. Had a dream where we put 45 on the board.
Another successful day running the ball. Tommy adds to his aerial numbers.

Sunny Sod Busters: 24
These mustachioed Marquess of Queensbury fighters will land a couple of jabs and win a round or two but the Cats deliver the knockout!

I think we'll win. I think it'll be a quick game because I don't think we'll be scoring quite as fast as usual and they are a ball control, dink dunk team. I think a drive in the 4 minute to ice it at the end, 34-24.

Montana State Fightin' Bobcats - 38
UC-Davis Agony - 21
Apparently spelling isn't high on the curriculum at Davis. They appear to have a few Wide Receivers, but mostly Wide Recievers

Re: Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions
Goldstone beat me to my score. 34-24. Davis will get out to a good start and a halftime lead, 17-10. Cats hit them hard in the 3rd, to go up 2 scores. Davis makes it a 1 score game in the 4th, then Cats put it away with a FG near the end.

Re: Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions
Using the Transitory Element of NCAA football (I did this quickly so may have some minor errors), we have 5 common opponents (same home/away as well coincidentally). On scoring difference the Cats are +5, +29, +29, +4 and -14. Net difference of +53 divided by 5 games is +10.6. Make it 11.
Then multiplying that by the difference of average tackles by Robin Hauck over his career against each team: vs. UCD 118 tackles in 3 games equals 39.3 per game; vs. MSU 165 tackles in 4 games equals 41.3 tackles per game. Net difference is 2.
Thus, 2 x 11 = 22.
Cats by 22.
MSU 45
UCD 23

UCD coach very likable. Seems to know the game and his teams strengths well. He is even doubtful they can beat us. Game is on the road so this one is closer than average.

Re: Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions
I HIGHLY doubt he thinks his team can’t beat the Cats. A presser is one thing, cameras off with the team is something totally different. There is 0% chance he says the same thing to his team. Stuff like that is tactic. Maybe, just maybe, if the favorite starts to believe their own headlines, then they are vulnerable. So why not let them hear again how good they are?Long Time Cat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:27 pmUCD coach very likable. Seems to know the game and his teams strengths well. Ha ha, yep... zero chance he thinks they can't win, I promise you he has his team believing they are going to do whatever it takes to beat us 100%. I also think it's silly how many posters are predicting a blowout here. This is a damn good team the Cats are playing, in their house. I know their coach said he thinks the Cats might be the best team in the country but I'm wondering if USC is the best team in the country. Ya ya, I get it, but... the DSUs. Well NDSU completely squeaked out a win against a terrible team, and then SDSU got beat by said NDSU team so nobody is absolutely dominating and crushing it right now... except MSU and UCD.tdub wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:32 pmI HIGHLY doubt he thinks his team can’t beat the Cats. Good post. Yeah, he’s definitely playing possum. You can acknowledge how good your opponent is without saying you think they’re better. He knows his team is very good and he loves that they have a chip on their shoulder. It’s a good, motivated team. Just like MSU.tdub wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:32 pmI HIGHLY doubt he thinks his team can’t beat the Cats. A presser is one thing, cameras off with the team is something totally different. I mean that’s fair I guess. I have no issue being a silly poster expecting us to win by a couple scores. As a cat fan I don’t know why I’d think differently? Everyone talks about the cat schedule and who we’ve beat. Who have they beat? The griz I guess is maybe there best win? Squeaking past Idaho?catatac wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:53 pmHa ha, yep... zero chance he thinks they can't win, I promise you he has his team believing they are going to do whatever it takes to beat us 100%. They’re playing better football than they were when they beat PSU by a point. I don’t think they’re a bad team by any stretch. I just happen to think MSU is a much better, much more rounded, and much deeper team than Davis.
So I’m sticking by my silly post that I like the Cats to win by a couple touchdowns.

Re: Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions
The top 3 teams are beating the crap out of teams they should be. Davis has been doing that lately, but they haven't been doing it all year. Davis is a really good team, but it feels like there's a gap between 3 and 4.catatac wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:53 pmHa ha, yep... zero chance he thinks they can't win, I promise you he has his team believing they are going to do whatever it takes to beat us 100%. I'm not sure what terrible team NDSU squeaked by. If you're referring to ETSU, I'd say the #21 ranked team isn't terrible. Their 3 FCS losses are all by 7 points or less. Two of those losses are to top 10 teams and another to a top 25 team.

Re: Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions
Don’t put words in my mouth. Being doubtful you can do. something is much different than saying you can’t do something. I understand that there is such a thing as Coach-speak and most likely that’s what he was doing, but I bet he does tell us players they will have to play the best game of their season so far to stay with the Cats in this game!tdub wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 4:32 pmI HIGHLY doubt he thinks his team can’t beat the Cats. Davis 21
I think Davis is going to load up to stop the run. Tommy is going to hit on a couple early deep shots to Ty and Taco. Going to need the passing game in this one.

Re: Cats @ UC-Davis Predictions
Oh, I'm not calling you out for that prediction, I mean I think that is definitely a reasonable prediction, Cats winning by a couple scores - even playing them in their house. I was more referring to some of the other blowout scores I've seen predicted. I just don't think it's reasonable to expect that but to each his own!ilovethecats wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 9:15 pmI mean that’s fair I guess.
