Well, your first mistake was listening to someone who went to and played football at um. I could careless what he says, which is probably why I still have never listened to him.

Here's a fact, We'll find out who the Cats really are after this game. This is a perfect test for the post season.

That is what we thought going into Idaho. Everyone across the board was saying, "Now Cats have to play someone." Cats beat the crap out of them and the story changed to "Well the QB was hurt." Their hurt QB didn't account for Cats gaining 485 yards and 38 points. There will be another excuse when Cats beat down UCD.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 1:57 pmHere's a fact, We'll find out who the Cats really are after this game. Dude— I’ve tried his breakdown pods before. 85% of it is him reading box scores.

UCD is a good football team, It will be a great test to see where we are in the playoffs. WTF is up with the sensitivity of calling Davis a good team? And why throw in a bunch of literal sh*t about excuses? I'm just excited to watch the Cats finally play a good football team.RockyBearCat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:01 pmThat is what we thought going into Idaho. His videos are interesting… he obviously knows ball but basically just points out coverages and reads the stats off. Seems to only know much about wr/secondary.Lord Vigo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:08 pmDude— I’ve tried his breakdown pods before. 85% of it is him reading box scores.

I’ve listened to a few now. My opinion has absolutely nothing to do with him being a former griz….Lord Vigo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:08 pmDude— I’ve tried his breakdown pods before. 85% of it is him reading box scores.
But it’s not a great breakdown. He talks a million miles an hour, lists off box scores like crazy, and then has a few takes that are just simply wrong by any objective measure (the Cats D taking a step back is a perfect example).
I love Colters content and look forward to the various guests he has each week, Big Sky breakdown, etc…
But Akem’s content will be a pass for me going forward after giving it a listen a handful of times.

I agree they look to be a very good team. I think the point is, that if the Cats go in there and dominate them, the narrative will change to... well they aren't THAT good, or they had a bad game, or Griz hangover...luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:10 pmUCD is a good football team, It will be a great test to see where we are in the playoffs. Yes, but he's not wrong in what he said about Idaho. Everyone WAS saying that we finally had to play someone good. It was a top 10 matchup. And we demolished them and suddenly they weren't that good and we rolled them because of injuries. But it's all talk anyway.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:10 pmUCD is a good football team, It will be a great test to see where we are in the playoffs. But you're right, this game will tell us something. Your opinion going into it will determine what it tells you. For me, I think the Cats are much better and I expect to win by a couple scores. So if they do that my opinion of our team won't change at all from how I feel today. However, if Davis plays us very close till the end or even wins; I'll still feel good about the Cats but would concede that Davis was better than I thought.
Regardless, after the crap games we had to watch most of the season, I'm very excited for the last two weeks of regular season Cat football!

What ****** about excuses? Do you have an argument with what I said? Everyone was saying Idaho was a good team until Cats destroyed them. Then it wasn't because the Cats were good. Cats are elite. Cats are much better than UCD. I think Cats will handle UCD and outsiders will have some excuse to say Cats still haven't played anyone.luckyirishguy25 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:10 pmUCD is a good football team, It will be a great test to see where we are in the playoffs. Listening to this press conference, I took away from it that UCD has some maturity on the team, particularly the QB, that could prove interesting in Saturday. One comment about a change to the play call, that resulted in a TD, stood out. I think the Cats have tremendous maturity and the coaches will have the team extremely prepared. However it will be interesting to see if UCD uses some trickery/ad libbing that gets the Cats off track. Guessing it might work once, likely not twice though. Should be a really good game, but hoping for a very dominate win by the Cats that quiets all the doubters. UCD has some talent, and seems to be well coached, but they have some holes, inexperienced players especially, that I think the Cats will expose.

Akem is one of numerous ex athletes who now has a microphone. IMO, anyone with a decent amount of football knowledge and all day to sit around and research FCS football can make a mountain out of a mole hill. The fact that he gets paid means nothing. It is entirely speculation. Never listened to him. Most of the FCS prognostications from the prognosticators have come up short every week except for #1, #2 & #3.

Re: Montana State @ Davis: 2024 Big Sky Conf Championship
You seem a bit sensitive about your "excuses" by outsiders even though the Cats are ranked #2 in the country, how does that not show the Cats getting the recognition they deserve? They play their schedule which is soft compared to everyone else (because they have to play the Cats). You need to let those gris fans out of your head because no one cares what excuses they make up, at least I don't. It just shows they're scared of what the Cats will do to their Team.RockyBearCat wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:25 pmWhat ****** about excuses? Do you have an argument with what I said? As far as Davis, they are a good team and they can beat the Cats. Any given Saturday my friend, ****** happens. Unwind go have a beer or a toke or something.

Watching that interview gives me the sense that their coach doesn't think they can beat us. It seems that he's kind of shocked that they are even here.
Or...maybe he's just playing possum.

It all about matchups, and the 2 I don't like is Larrison vs our second level and that big 400lb wrecking ball #75. we handle those guys and the Cats go 11-0.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 2:22 pmYes, but he's not wrong in what he said about Idaho.
