Traveling to Davis

Davis is a good college town, nice little stadium, close to wine country. worth a trip.

I live in the Bay Area so will be driving... Sacramento is definitely the closest airport but doesn't have nonstop options from Bozeman. San Francisco airport is 85 miles away and has direct flights on United. Oakland airport is around 75 miles away and has many more options for Southwest. Keep in mind that this is California, so depending on what day and time you fly in those drives from the Bay to Davis could take anywhere from 1 hour to 2+ hours.

Does anyone know the Visitor section? On an old seating chart from a couple years ago it shows Section 102, so think I'll get tickets there.

Saw something that said Bobcat fans in sections 101 and 102. I'm betting there'll be plenty in 103. That's where ours are (on the section 104 edge) - closer to the 50 yard line.

Last time I went to Davis there was huge amounts of seating and the Cat fans basically found a section to congregate. It was behind the Cats sideline as well.

I think they've sold out every game this season.

They actually had only around 8,500 for a couple games this season. Listed capacity is around 10,500, but they can seat over 12,000. Huge end zone grass areas on each end. The Cat game I attended had around 8,400 and people lounging in the grass area. Lots of empty seats in the stands at 8,400. Maybe different for a big game on ESPN2?

They have large grass GA seating areas in both endzones, so I doubt they will ever have a bona fide sell-out -- there should always be butt space available on the grass.

If I remember right, it guarantees Cats the autobid, but that doesn't matter this year. However, still possible Cats and Davis could both have one loss in Big Sky and therefore would be Co-Champions. Beating Davis and gris gives Cats the outright championship.
