I sit in row 31 of section 116. I’ll report back on the sound system after Gold Rush. The other system sucked from day 1 from there.

It says 21 Conference Championships. Looks like maybe they counted wrong? Uh oh!AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 12:58 pmDoes anyone know what that flag on the right side of the scoreboard is all about? It looks like a number 21 or 27. I can't figure out what that number has to do with the Cats or why it's important enough to be placed on the scoreboard. I believe the Cats have 22 conference titles.

Just over the past hour, the scoreboard has shown at least five different images, including what looked to be full screen replays or videos. The scoreboard will NOT just show a static image all game long. I think we fans are in for a treat.

21 Conference Championships is correct. 16 Big Sky and 5 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. For some reason, the MSU Football Wiki says we won the 2006 season and therefore 22 total, but we did not. I corroborated this thru the Big Sky Conference site (https://bigskyconf.com/sports/2010/6/30 ... champ.aspx).AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 2:26 pmDid they forget the title from 2022?MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 2:19 pmIt says 21 Conference Championships. I do hope they show the 4X400 relay that gave the men the Big Sky Crown (beating the griz by a few steps) between quarters. That would great on the big screen!

The whole race too or at least a piece with each runner or maybe a video on the whole meet. Afterall, every point counted. I bet the mens track and basketball teams are honored during the game. I haven't seen any ring presentations on twitter yet. So, maybe, that ring presentation will be done on Saturday.

Re: Old scoreboard
Well......? I didn't see it morph and change. I saw the game, the same size as we always have, and I saw ad space increase and be up there constantly. I mean maybe have the game live like they did but have the cams sponsored by a business (simba cam etc) and show half the screen ad and half the camera shot. Show replays on the full screen. The lack of creativity with the big beautiful new screen...AFCAT wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 10:20 amYeah, it’s almost hilarious at this point. I mean, how many images of the board doing different things do we have to post? This board won’t show a static template for the whole game, the image will morph and change.
I want to see that board add a 10/10 for game day experience. That added a 6/10. Sweet, we know the rushing and passing yards for each team. Flash those up at the end of every quarter. I don't need to constantly know those. Make down and distance bigger. And the ads don't have to be as big as they were for us to see them. Does anyone know who the upper right advertiser is? I didn't recognize the name so i was curious. I mean show a replay, at the end flash a full size Pepsi logo. We'll all still see it. There are ways to take advantage of the space and still pay the bills. The bad guys to the west show 30 second scheels ads all the time. People can get their ad space.
I mean shoot, the dance team looked awesome in the media time out where the band came out to join them. Make that at least full screen.

Screen Size: I'm not sure why you once again are claiming that the size of the new scoreboard devoted to showing the game/replays is the same size as the old screen. Just a dumb claim and couldn't be more wrong.lutecat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 7:39 amWell......? I didn't see it morph and change. Yardage Stats: I disagree with you here and like having those visible all the time. I do think they could make them smaller so as not to take up quite so much space on the screen.
Down/Distance/Yardage: I agree that this seems too small and should be at least the same size as the yardage stats.
Advertising: Advertisers want constant visibility for their money that everyone in the stadium will see, not brief flashes that most will miss. Dislike it if you want but it's not going away since that ad money is what's paying for the scoreboard in the first place.

Your whole complaint is dumb. Where does that leave you? We just kicked ass in the season opener with 22,000 fans and you are complaining about the use of the new million dollar scoreboard? I'll respond to you how I want, and reiterate that your claim about the screen size is dumb, stupid, idiotic, moronic, whatever word you want to use because you know full well that it's not even close to being true. You do bring up some very valid points about the usage of the screen space in terms of displaying stats and game information. That's not dumb at all but some good constructive feedback.lutecat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 08, 2024 10:06 amOk we can disagree but coming here and saying it's a dumb claim is out of line. Do better. How are people complaining about the new video board??? Seriously wtf?!?
Everything about it was incredible and made a huge upgrade to the overall experience at the game.
Some people just cant help themselves, and always need to bitch and moan about something I guess. Ridiculous.

Look I really don't think the size of the actual game shown was much bigger than the previous screen we had. You can disagree but I said what I said.
I'll happily admit I'm wrong if someone can post a picture of both.
