Chance to see the big board in action.
I'm considering going just to hear the new sound upgrade. I'm really hoping they hit a home run with that piece. Hasn't been talked about much.
I’ve heard it. It’s a home run imo.

That looks like a good time to be had by all! Too far for me, but I’d be there otherwise! 8)

Look at the additional power box at the base of the new scoreboard. There’s a lot of juice flowing through there. Don’t think the old one had that.

Has anyone seen a demo of what the new board can do?

Wouldn't it be cool to come back a couple days later and do a full blown tailgate party and show the NM game in the stadium? I think this has been talked about before and it might not be allowed.

They should definitely do this for every road game. I wonder how much it would cost to staff that though. You'd think charging everyone $5-10 plus opening at least some concessions would cover a lot of the cost.

I'm not sure that MSU could charge fans to watch the broadcast. Viewing a game on the big screen at the stadium would be fun though.

If they were able to do that for road games, I would be there in a heartbeat!

If that's the case it's a huge missed opportunity to not have added that into the tv rights contract. Sure, there's only two or three teams in the conference that would possibly take advantage of that, but it would be great. No way they'd do it for free though.

game would be free but would have to buy the minimum drink package of 2 pints, your choice of beer, water, or soda for $40.00.

Yeah, they must have been working on the sound system today. I live in the Noiseshed and I could hear it loud and clear in my backyard. No comparison to the old sound system.

I don't know, the new speaker system looks a little underwhelming.

* The above comment is a joke. I know those aren't part of the the actual scoreboard speaker system.

They had it cranked up again today. From the narration, it sounded like they were playing a hype video. I wonder if we're getting a new walk-out video? I like the one they've been using but something new might be nice. It didn't sound familiar, but my wife says my memory sucks.

It’s beyond time for a new one! I do like the old one. But it’s time for something new.

I have the same feeling about the "House We Built" video. It's been a good video, and I enjoy it, but it's definitely time for something new. And with the HD capabilities of the new board, it would be a shame if we used it to show grainy footage from the 80s...
