Colter wasn’t at the game but he was able to be at presser via Skype or something, which is why he asks if he can be heard. (He does this for midweek pressers at MSU too). Hauck appears to be looking around the room for him. Hauck just wants to get out of there, which is probably why he says ‘unfortunately’ and isn’t directed at Colter.

I dont know Tom. That seems like a stretch. He kind of gives him a flippant answer on the injury to their qb. There's no more season. You can say a guy is injured. But the way he answers....he didn't answer the dude from the Athletic like that.

Just watched that. He totally mouthed "unfortunately." LOL Is he not a fan of Colter? Did he not think that the presser was being filmed? What a poor sport, loser jerk. I kind of wanted to root for Montana, as a state and them representing it, but I just couldn't. Not with him being the face of the gris. Best thing for that program will be when he retires.
And I posted elsewhere, I think it was interesting that he stated they hoped they'd get back there "at some point" rather than something more confident.

Hell I get it, I probably couldn't even give a cordial interview after losing a game of Madden. But I've seen plenty of of post-game interviews involving coaches on the losing end that don't treat the media the way he does. I guess my big problem with it is that he treats national media and fan-boy Rainey differently than other local media members. If you are going to be a prick, be a prick to everyone haha.
