This is an interesting quote from Bobby, "I'm proud of them. It's an honor to coach them. What a great season for our team. We hope to continue on and have a chance to be back here at some point."

At some point? Not "we're going to go back home fix some things and work hard to be back here next year" or something like that.

I won't do what the gris did when the Cats lost and say they embarrassed the state of Montana, but woof.
The good news is they performed worse than the Cats did in Frisco.
And our star QB left the game during the first drive. I posted two weeks ago that if McD lasted the whole game, Griz lose by 2 TDs. If he gets knocked out in the first drive, Griz lose by 40. I think that's realistic.

Cats at least scored a Touchdown. And the press, of course, called it a beat down among other things, which it was. But I'm sure they'll be way more gracious to the precious gris
For an unknown reason the press conference is on the tv right now and it’s soft toss after soft toss. And SWX was borderline delusional in their post game.
Are you talking about this post game?

Has anyone heard from grisnaturalist, catfluff, gocartsgo, and those guys? I'm worried about them. They really seemed to think the gris were already national champions before this horrible loss. Pretty sure they local news had an article that was nothing more than one of those guys packing his best clothes for Texas. Looked like he packed them well. Wonder how the return trip will turn out? Hopefully we get a nice update on that from the local news
Silence from them but egris is an abyss of delusion
Delusion over how great they really are?
100% “it was a great season” “just a little more from the offense” “it’s all cause they didn’t call holding gubner’s jersey was torn” blah blah blah
Even though trolling is frowned upon I created a thread that ruffled some feathers and got me banned😂

They were very upset to be reminded that baby hauk is 0-4
Nice job!
Update: account number 3 has been banned. They’re so thin skinned it’s more effort than it’s worth.
You're proud of this? Yikes

I just have one question - can MSU get a refund from dUMb on our band donation after that performance today?

I thought this game was extremely boring to watch. Once SDSU got up by a couple of scores you kinda knew it was over, the only question
was the margin of victory. I credit the UM defense for keeping it from really being embarrassing.

Someone needs to make a T-Shirt of Bobby wearing a “Golden Sombrero” for next year’s Cat/Griz game. For you non-baseball fans that’s going 0-4 with four strikeouts!

I could agree 100% with your post except you used the word boring when in my opinion you should've used fun.

During Bobby's pre game press conference he said that SDSU hadn't really had many or any close games, they've just kind of dominated everybody this year. Perhaps he just forgot or maybe his hatred of all things MSU Bobcats prevented him from looking at the game the Cats played against the Jacks on 09/09/2023. Had he looked at that game he would've seen that the Cats held the lead for most of the game and were never down by more than 3 points until the last 1:30 of the game with a final score of 20-16. A win for SDSU but by no means dominating.
It's just another one of those things that make me laugh at Bobby.

The last time that SDSU lost to an FCS team was on 12/18/2021 by a score of 31-17 to your Montana State Bobcats!

Let's hope that the Cats make it back to the championship game next year and beat whoever else makes it there.

Furthermore, since only scoring 3 points in a loss to FBS Iowa in 2022 - nearly 30 games - SDSU has failed to scored more than 23 points on only 2 occasions. 17 points the road this season to Southern Illinois, and 20 points at home against the Bobcats in September.

Looking forward to next season and extremely grateful that as Bobcat fans, we don't have to endure Gris fans spouting off about winning the NC. Would have been a miserable 10+ months before getting the chance to shut them up again...

SDSU outscored their 4 playoff opponents by a combined 146-15, an average of 36.5-3.75 per game. That's got to be about as dominant as any FCS team has ever been in the postseason, especially on defense. Allowing a total of only 15 points in 4 playoff games is mind blowing, and probably an FCS postseason record. We scored 16 on them in one game. They took their foot off the gas in the 4th quarter with a 20 point lead and went ultra conservative on offense, which was smart. The only way the gris could possibly have gotten back in the game against that defense was if SDSU had turned the ball over a couple times. If they had continued running their regular offense, they likely would have scored at least one more TD in the 4th quarter. We were really the only team that gave them a close game all season. I wish one of the media people had reminded Beavis of that, when he said they hadn't had a close game all season.

UM now has an unprecedented 6 FCS championship game losses. Marshall is next with four. Not sure if any FCS coaches are close to Hauck’s 0-4 record. Most likely not. Jim Donnan was 1-3 at Marshall. I’m a Vikings fan so…

Why do they play the game on Sunday afternoon? They have to compete with the NFL on it's last regular season game. Why don't they play it on Friday night? Every sports bar in the US would have it on.

Heck Saturday at noon would be perfect. Only college game on and only one NFL game to compete with at 230.

Because it is just an advertisement platform for the Fbs game and crappy ABC TV shows. Not even a million people care.

When the reporter talked to the NCAA president on the sidelines. She said that it was the first time he had been to the FCS Championship game?

The guy from Missoula wasn’t the only one that said South Dakota State hadn’t had any close games. The announcers send it it at least once during the game.

I seem to recall gris fans gloating about how the Cats embarrassed the state of Montana in their 2021 NC loss, which of course had Tommy injured at the start of the game. Watching that game yesterday, seeing the offense do nothing, was embarrassing, especially following all the press they got all week. The defense tried, and kudos to them, but I thought during playoffs that their offense, or lack of, would be exposed by someone. Thought it would be NDSU honestly, but when they squeaked into the NC I was certain one offensive TD in regulation wasn't going to win them the championship.

If the season had a title, it would be: The Battle for Second Place. Second place was a great race. So close that the eventual winner of the silver medal needed two OT wins at home to get there over a 7 seed and an unseeded team. Seems like the 2-9 teams were fairly even. In matchups of 2-9 teams there was just one blowout - NDSU over USD. Quite a few close calls for other seeded teams.
